1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Heres an idea... on: December 02, 2006 08:22:54 PM
Ive got loads of half used pots of lip balm and vaseline lying around at home and theres never enough in them to actually use it properly so... I melted them all together! basically what I did was got a half empty vaseline tin and put it on top of the aga to melt (im sure twould work just as well i the oven on low heat) then i added all the leftover bits of random lip balm I have lying around then when thats all melted just take it out and leave it on the side for a while (with the lid off) and Voila!
so now what ive got is this gorgeous red, sparkly strawberry and cherry lip balm! it rocks!
have a go and tell me what you think!

2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / My first book on: November 04, 2006 03:02:05 PM
Here's a book i made at about 5 this morning (thus proving that insomnias not all bad Smiley ), I've never made one before and i did it without instructions so im pretty proud! the pages are just normal printer paper, folded in half and the cover was made out of some cardboard packaging, i covered it in clipping from an old magazing (telegraph magazine to be exact!) then covered it in pva to keep everthing in place and give it a shiny finish. i finished by going round the edges with duct tape and used a ribbon and poppers to keep it shut and... VOILA! so, what d'you think?
