shazrasha, did the compass make it? I don't see it in the pictures.  Also, yes, Captain Jack would totally wear that.  And look dashing, as always!

Yes the compass made it. As midnightoak correctly assumed I just forgot to photograph it. It went very well with the waistcoat.

What a fab haul! The waistcoat is oh so dashing. (I see the Doctor in your avy - d'you watch Torchwood? It's just the waistcoat reminds me of something Captain Jack might wear...) The cuff is stunning too - love the patterns.
I watch both DW and Torchwood. Since I started wearing my shirts and waistcoats it's amazing how often I get told I look like The Doctor every time I put on long coats, despite being female.  Roll Eyes It's a fantastic way of telling who watches the show or not.

Argh I can't take photos good enough to show off my bounty. So these paltry attempts will have to do.

The coolest waistcoat an aviator can receive! Double breasted with a lovely pattern (which is a pink I actually like as rare as that is) on the back.

It also came with a matching cuff which I love as I have so few just prettifying items that I don't find a little girly Smiley

Last but not least a special tea tin with very tasty tea. I've tried it already and the tin has pride of place in my collection...i.e at the front where people can see it  Grin

Well I've rescued my parcel from the postoffice and the nasty customs people and it's ACE. Now I just need to wait for some good lighting so I can take photos Roll Eyes

Ok, so I've mostly been lurking in this gallery, because I love this swap, even though I didn't have the extra crafting time to be able to sign up.  I have to say, that knitting row counter is ingenious!  Shazrasha, any tips on how you made it?  Was it super complicated to do?  It's lovely.

I could probably whip up a quick explanation of how I made it but would need some photos or pics to properly explain. It's three layers of leather with the middle cut out of the top two and a studious application of rivets to hold chain and wires in place. It wasn't that tricky once I worked out what I was doing.

Well I'm on attempt three of my craft and so far it's actually going quite well though JoyousBohemian I apologise now for having managed to give it that authentic steampunk smell by getting WD-40 on it  Undecided

Oh we're perfectly allowed to resurrect them. Not sure there is enough interest to create a swap though which is a shame.

I'm finally started...*phew* was getting a bit worried my mind was letting me down then.
However it handily offered a solution to what I was looking for last night as I went to bed. Now I just need the time to attack my supplies

I got the container of watch gears I ordered-trouble is,they're so incredibley tiny,I don't think I can use them for the craft I had planned.I think I'm going to make myself some delicate earrings later on.Partner doesn't have pierced ears,or I'd make her some, too!
Putting my thinking cap on to come up with another item to use them on...hmm....

I could give you ideas. I have lots of ideas for uses of things I can't get hold of Wink

That said I went to the hardware store yesterday and returned with a rather random bunch of items that kind of made my guest and housemate stare confused at my insanity. I was dubbed as trying to do a mystery meal but with hardware... Roll Eyes

I now have a pile of seemingly innocuous items that need to be made into 'stuff' we'll see how I do.

I really should be supervisioned when I go shopping and can't find what I want. I buy random craft items which as yet I've no idea what to do with. THis time a staple gun...almost got the laminator too Roll Eyes

thats why i started making sure i knew what i was going to get, and made lists before i left,
i've come home with oddles of things, and no clue what i was going to do with them! (while at the same time, forgetting to get what i ment to go out for)

See this would have been fine. But I actually had a list. I just couldn't find a single thing on it.
