i got this cool looking hat pattern here: http://stitchcafe.com/freepatterns.html
and i started this hat despite the lack of gauge in the pattern. however i found it to be too short and i'm not sure if thats on purpose or a pattern mistake. but anyways, i took it apart, modified it, and added p3 k3 ribbing before the cabling and this is what  i got! i made it out of woolease thick and quick.

63  i love my twinkle toes . . . in Knitting: Completed Projects by ibunnysavetroy on: December 30, 2006 11:25:44 AM
i made these from the knitty pattern here: http://knitty.com/ISSUEwinter06/PATTtwinkletoes.html
i made them out of a random wool yarn, it's 100% wool, so ignore the fuzz.

(and ignore the messy desk)

i didn't add on the suede bottom, and they seem to not be too slippery.
i'm very happy.  Grin
