I want a sock scarf now! Did you knit from one end to the other (so one sock was toe-up and the other cuff-down), or is it seamed in the middle?

All in one!

(And I made mine on a knitting loom, but you can use any technique that can make a sock Smiley)

I hadn't made anything for myself in a while, so I whipped up this giant sock scarf.  I included a 710ml bottle for scale (that's two can's worth!)

Very cool design!  I don't think I have ever seen rectangular "granny squares" Grin.

To be fair, you still haven't!  The design on this one is fairly tricky.  Ganny rectangles are a thing, though. Smiley

My latest granny creation:

I'm calling this one "Double Spiral"

Beautiful.  I would want so much to keep it for myself.

Thanks!  There was much debate here about that.  It's rather small to be useful to two adults, though, so... bigger version it is! Grin

So cool - Love it!

Thank you!  (I can't stop looking at it! lol)

I love it! It looks just like some of the nebula photos I show my students!

Thanks!

I'm so excited about this blanket!  I've been interested in astronomy for a while now, and during an intense design session, this was the first idea I had, and it's my favourite of everything I came up with during that time!

I used about 2670 yards of Caron Simply Soft and it took me about four days to make (what can I say? I was excited to see how it turned out!)

I love it so much that it's going to be hard to part with it (but alas, I must!).  I'm thinking about adjusting the size up to king size and make one for my bed!  (I have a queen-sized bed, but I sleep with a lot of pillows.  Like... a *lot* of pillows. lol)

I worry sometimes that I'll come across as spam-y posting my designs to the crochet board.  Though, I am planning on posting there tomorrow, as I just love my Nebula blanket and I can't wait to show it to everyone else!!!

Your blanket looks slick and modern in black and white. I like how big it is, but I would not have liked to create it, it must have taken almost forever. Is it going to be a gift?

It took about 7 weeks to make.  I'm a bit torn - normally I put my pattern samples in my shop, but I love this one so much, I might just keep it.  We only have a queen-sized bed, but we require king-sized blankets because I sleep with so very many pillows!
