31  Re: knit crochet goodie bag swap gallery! in The Swap Gallery by Pheather on: July 22, 2007 05:26:47 PM
Hey everyone,

I received all my wonderful goodies from baby_bumblebee on Friday, but didn't have internet access until today.  Thank you so much for all the wonderful stuff.  I love it!

Here is the group shot (minus some really great fun yarn (I can't believe I forgot to include it in the picture)and a headband which I am wearing (I love it it fits perfectly which is hard for me because for some reason I have an extremely large noggin):

My goodie bag included a wonderful crocheted hat, which fits my daughter but she wouldn't wear it long enough to take the picture.  Two fun yarns, two head bands, some beads (which I needed I have a necklace that I was wanting to make but couldn't find the right shade of red, which you provided.  Thanks!), some hair ties, Crochet Today magazine (I want to make some of the stuff already), two pattern books one for filet crochet and another for baby booties which is fun because my sister just had her first baby, a washcloth, and a hook roll with a few hooks that I didn't have.  Thanks!!!!!!!!!!

And the action shot of the headband:

She also said I could post the picture of what I sent since her camera is on the fritz.  Alas, only my group shot turned out (what I get for taking pictures at 6:30 am prior to the coffee kicking in).

What I sent, three knitting needle sets, a set of stitch markers, little rubber socks to stick on the ends of your needles (I suppose that is so they don't poke you), a book of different stitches, two rolls of bernat yarn, some Sugar and Creme yarn (I think), and the grand finale my very first non-scarf project, which I made the pattern up (based on some projects I had seen here), and learned to make flowers.  It is a crocheted cherry blossom bag.  I am very proud, so I am tooting my horn a little.

Thanks so much for the swap baby_bumblebee.  I had so much fun creating and swapping with you!!!!

Here is the clearest picture I have, and it's from my wedding.  I have a piece of tulle over my shoulders/back as a shawl so that is why it is slightly blurry.  My friend drew the design for me.

33  Re: I <3 Tea/Coffee/Cocoa Swap Round 4 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Pheather on: May 16, 2007 10:49:34 AM
***EDIT:  Thank you both Sammimag and Dulcinea for your help with the pictures.  Hopefully it worked this time.  ***

I received yesterday.  Thank you so much Sammimag, I loved everything.  I now know that I need to get off my butt and learn to read crochet patterns (I have only ever done scarves).  Everything was perfect!  This is my first picture post, so bear with me if the images are large, there are too many or they don't show up.

First of all here is a group shot (except for the cool bookmark, which is in the cup modeling my coffee cozy)

Next are some wonderful fulled/felted coasters shaped like a teapot.

Here is the awesome embroidered hair scarf (which has the same sun/moon fabric as my daughters baby quilt (I love suns/moons/stars)

A coffee cup armigumi (sorry if I spelled it wrong) which now lives on my desk at work.

A coffee cup cozy and some chai tea: with a pattern Sammimag made up (here is where my crochet jealousy really kicks in)

And a knitted dishcloth with a steaming coffee cup design in it (sorry if the picture is hard to see, maybe I will get better at it.  Also the colors are off but it was the best way to show off the pattern).  Sammimag has mad crochet and knitting skills (I can't believe that you just taught yourself, you did awesome)

Awesome bookmark:

Thank you so much Sammimag, you made this experience wonderful.  I forgot a solo picture of the coffee, and it sure smells deliscious.  I am glad you enjoyed everything!
