21  Re: Feminist/ Woman-centred Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Pheather on: September 23, 2007 05:34:22 PM
Okay, looks like I get to be the first to post my package.  Auntiem really spoiled me.  I cannot have had a better swap partner.

Here is everything unopened:

Here is everything opened. It included a feminist zine (title totally forgotten at this time), a Rosie the riveter scarf, a knitted bag for my lunacup/pads, a sachet with an om embroidered on it, a WWTGD crossstitched keychain, and fuzzy legged woman leg warmers.  Here they are all together. :

Now for everything by itself:

A wonderful sachet with the Sanskrit letter for om, with lavender from Auntiem's garden:

A crossstitched "What Would The Goddess Do" keychain
Front:

Back (I love this fabric she used):

My Fuzzy Legged Woman leg warmers (foot/instep)  which will be perfect for yoga:

A bag for a lunacup/various menstrual necessities (the colors are a little more muted, but I was trying to counterbalance the fuzzy/glare I was getting taking the pictures):

And last but certainly not least my Rosie the riveter scarf:

Thank you so much for everything Auntiem.  I really cannot say that I have a favorite, I love it all so much.  I hope you enjoy my stuff.

22  Re: Stitch Marker Swap in The Swap Gallery by Pheather on: September 20, 2007 08:16:52 AM
Okay.  Here are my picks but they definitely don't do the markers any justice.  Thanks again for everything Shae16:

This is a group shot (minus the ones that replaced the paperclips I was using for my fat bottom bag):

This shot shows the details of the markers a bit better:

Here is a picture with the container, a wonderful decoupaged box.  I  love the paper she used:

Finally a shot with my fat bottom bag with the markers being used and the box with the rest inside.

Thanks again, sorry my photography skills don't adequately show them off.  I am improving though.

Could you possibly give overall dimensions of the room and perhaps the dimensions of the couch?  It might help (me at least)

EDIT:  Never mind about the dimensions.  I messed around with it in my very rudimentary Paint skills, but I think you could get the idea.  Here it is:

26  Look What My Husband Made Me in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by Pheather on: August 29, 2007 08:37:18 AM
Last week was both my husband and my birthday as well as our anniversary (all different days).  My husband has been very supportive of my craft addiction, but claims to be un-crafty himself.  When he presented me with this, I was astounded.  He bought a plain wooden box, painted it, and also created fabric covered foam inserts that fit into the drawers.  He made the foam inserts so that the fabric can be changed out.  I am very proud of him.  He also filled it with miscellaneous crafty goodness.  I hope it isn't a no-no but I told him I had to brag on him with my craftster buddies.

Here's the pics

Everything open to show the crafty goodness"

27  Re: Yoga Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by Pheather on: August 28, 2007 11:41:00 AM
I received yesterday, thanks Jillie!  No pics yet, but I will have a photo shoot after work and will add them to this post tomorrow.  Thanks again for everything! Cheesy

Edit:  Here is the pics:

Everything together:

A yoga mat bag and some stationary with the om symbol made on handmade paper.  I can't believe that is your first crochet effort.  You did a beautiful job.

Closeup of the Stationary:

Sorry about the pictures, I had better light outside than inside my house, but not as good as I hoped.  They don't do the goodies justice.  Thanks again.

28  My Very First Earrings in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Pheather on: August 15, 2007 08:12:49 AM
After having made some stitch markers for a swap, I decided to finally give making earrings a try.  I have been beading for a long time but these have been my first foray into using headpins etc...  I made them for my mom for her birthday.  Pardon the pics, but this was my first time scanning too! Cheesy

and

Thanks for looking.

29  Cake for Daughters 2nd Birthday in Party Planning by Pheather on: July 30, 2007 12:30:14 PM
Hello Everyone,
I haven't done any cake decorating for over a decade, and I was really proud of what I produced for my daughter's 2nd birthday last November.  It is sorta cheating, because I used one of the shaped pans you can find at Michaels, but I am very proud because I thought I did a good job making Elmo's fur.  Thanks for looking.

Hi, just wanted to post my progress. I am not as far as others, but it is a big deal since I haven't made anything this large ever, or followed such a detailed pattern.

Here it is, one full side:
