21  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: A shot in the light on: May 28, 2009 12:11:17 PM
He just got into photography a couple of years ago? Really? I did not have time to see all the photos linked from the blog, but what I did see- wow, wow, and more wow! Gorgeous!
22  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Gnome curtain corners- several pictures on: May 28, 2009 10:47:30 AM
Amazing! I would never have the patience! I think it is funny that he has a little less flair in his garden- classic bachelor pad!
23  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Jareth on: May 28, 2009 10:44:25 AM
Oh, do I ever heart this! So adorable! Of course it looks much less menacing than the movie, but it is awfully hard for a crochet doll to look menacing. Great job on the clothes and hair!

I am lurking only because I can't think of much of anything to do with shrinkies except for jewelry, but I guess if my partner likes jewelry, then that would be OK.  And my shrinks themselves takes time, because I hand color and blend, and add detail to the smooth side, so I guess that could help me make the "large" requirement...hmmmm.  Nothing against the printing- it looks very cool, and certainly seems more efficient, I just do better stuff persoanlly with the pencil colored ones.

You can never underestimate the powers of a 8 month to three year old, IMHO! The strongest childlock in the house is going on the craft closet door!

I had my idea all set and ready, and almost sat down last night to craft that part, but decided to do some chores  and another part of the swap item, instead.  Thank goodness, because on my way in to work this morning, out of the blue, I had a WAY BETTER idea than the original.  Looking forward to weekend crafting now even more!

One key thing finally arrive in the mail, and I am still waiting on the other piece, and then to complement from the stash.  I love my partners color faves- very inspiring combos that are not my usual at all, so extra fun.

You early finishers are nuts! How on earth do you do that? I get maybe an hour or two of craft time each week, in little tiny chunks, so I have to choose projects carefully...but I think I have come up with something my partner will love...and will get probably at the deadline, but that is what deadlines are for, right?
