2  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / How do you make buttonholes? on: March 09, 2007 07:44:14 AM
How do you make button holes?! I haven't the slightest clue! The only thing ive ever done is just cut a slit into the fabric but it always looks so bad and unprofessional
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Pink leopard corset style top on: January 24, 2007 04:00:19 PM
So this garment is the result of actually USING my dressform. I just layed the fabric over it and started pinning and cutting. I actually am REALLY pleased with how it turned out it took an entire day to make (cause I'm slow and take lots of breaks) Anywho. the fabric i used is REALLY coft but isnt strecthy so I had to make it to perfectly fit me. I added the strap around the neck as a last minute thing cause it was a lil plain without it. Please let me know what you think!

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / My first cinching CORSET! on: January 24, 2007 03:54:44 PM
So, this is my first actual waist cinching corset. I used Roethes corset tut. here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=122286.0
This is kind of my trial run before i really put alot of money into some nice fabric for one, i wanted to get some practice in. And because of that I used card board as my boning, and some really cheap 100% cotton that cost like $1 for a yard. I made it for 26' inch waist and it cinches to about 23' inches. Please let me know what you think!

I was just wondering if anyone here has ever tried making their own synthetic dreads?  If so then how?   Because I HATE paying an arm and a leg just for one set. Thanks ahead of time for all replys.  Grin
