1  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Lemon Macarons on: January 06, 2011 09:36:17 AM
this is a good try, i find that the most risky part of these is the adding of the icing sugar...so whisk egg to soft to stiff peaks, add the caster sugar and whisk it again till almost upside down bowl stage, then, carefully add the icing sugar and then even more carefully add the almonds...trying not to beat all of the air out, then you'll get nice, puffy macaroons to die for...though, saying that, I have made about 6 batches and only about 3 of them have been actually amazing, the others were like pancakes...and i think it was the adding of the icing sugar that did it... was weird, and a challenge... I curse them as they taste darn good, bet these did!! Grin

that is no way a rabbit skull...it coooouuuld be a rat skull, but their eys are tiny, though they do have a lower jaw in two parts, which allows them to bruxx... vibrate them when they are happy and content...which also makes their eyes bulge...*shudders* cute, but i never got used to it...I'm with the gopher, was gonna suggest lemming or wombat, but wombats are auzy, and i dont know what lemmings really look like...but im darn sure that it isnt a rabbit, dont care what vet degree youre working on...their teeth are different...uhm, niot sure what squirrels are like, but could be... Smiley

Why do you need kids to make one, why not make one for yourself, how fun would it be...or make one for an other half or mate, its the kind of weird thing that shows how much you love them

my mum tried brewers yeast tablets for about a month before going on holiday as she usually suffers badly from biting bugs like mozzies...though this time was midgies as we live in Scotland...and they helped her as they didnt bite her cause her skin and blood tasted and smelled weird to the midgies, though we couldnt smell any difference in her Smiley
