1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: TARDIS blanket on: December 28, 2010 05:34:43 AM

2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Hello Kitty Hat/scarf for daughter on: December 21, 2010 07:18:51 AM
DD loves HELLO KITTY, so I made her a hat, and a scarf for Christmas (had to give them to her early, as I had to measure etc.) She loves it. So with the completion of this set, I am officially done with my Christmas gifts My RA and Carpal tunnel are giving me fits, so NO more crocheting for awhile have a dr's appt in Jan,(pain is terrible right now, can't sleep at night etc.) So it took longer to finish this set than normal., wasn't sure I would get it done in time

I just made a basic beanie, and then made the ears (4) total ears two for each side, then I just used felt for the eyes, and mouth. The scarf just red and white stripes with fringe, no pattern needed. Thanks for looking and have a great day. I also considered just making a plain white scarf, with big red bows on the end, I may still do that

Here is the hat and scarf

Shocked
Wow I can see why you would be going mad lol.  It's making me dizzy too lol.  It looks great, I'm sure your daughter will love it!! What kind of yarn did you use?  The pattern looks really cool!

thnks, I'm not planning on making another one like that ever lol. I used RHSS in Zebra print. it took 13 skeins to make it nice and oversized for her
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Zebra Madness (afghan for daughter) on: April 30, 2009 01:49:58 PM
I call this afghan Zebra Madness, because that's what I felt like I was sinking into while making it, The pattern the yarn  made almost made me go blind lol because the zebra stripes actually looked like they were moving. To say my daughter likes Zebra print is an understatement she LOVES ! it she has everything from sunglasses, bows, jackets, sheets etc. etc. I haven't decided whether to put this back for Christmas, or give it to her now. I hope she likes it. Anyway thanks so much for looking and have a great day!

yummy yummy! how do you wear that scarf? I'd be constantly craving some sweets! LOL

I've worn it just around my neck, hanging down on both sides, and I've wrapped it once around my neck ,then let the rest just hang

Well done! I love the colors you chose, too. Now I'm envisioning different-flavored cupcakes, and cupcakes with sprinkles (beads)...!

great minds must think alike lol, I just finished another pink/brown scarf, and a white frosting /brown cake with tiny pom-pom sprinkles scarf , and am starting a multi-colored one. Will try and post a pic of the new ones I've finished Smiley
