1  ASIA / Japan / Kids Toy Sewing Machines? on: March 25, 2007 10:53:03 AM
I'm dying to sew, but can't justify buying a full on machine this late in the game.

Anyone know where I can get some cheapy kids machines in Tokyo?

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Hooray! a recon that I didn't fail at! on: January 05, 2007 12:20:35 AM
Woo, a recon that I actually finished AND wasn't a disaster!

Used to be:

A plain green t-shirt I dug out my pile of clothes I don't wear anymore,

and,

crazy fabric sitting around that I got free from work.

And is now:

The best picture of the shirt.  My camera really didn't like capturing it's true color.

The following pictures look different, but the color is a light lime green, close to the one in the first picture.

A close up of the appliques, that need ironing. (Hey, I just finished it.  Give me a break :p hehe.)

I gave it new  sleeves, and they are overlocked instead of hemmed.  I also added the heart appliques, to give it something extra.

If you comment, I sure do appreciate it. <3
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Distraction From Finals = Earings! Yay! on: December 20, 2006 03:04:33 PM
Here's some earings I made this week.

I've had the idea for a while, but couldn't get the findings I wanted for a while.  Anyways, here they are!

Eraser earings!

For some reason, the ice creams look linty.  But they aren't O_o

Enjoy!
5  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / New to paper crafts, but I loved this paper... on: December 14, 2006 11:41:07 AM
I was at a hockey game with my boyfriend, and I lreally like the image on the popcorn bag!

Any ideas on what to do with it??
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Knitting experiment on: December 14, 2006 11:38:30 AM
I am by no means an advanced knitter, in fact, I really don't know how to do much of anything.  I can do one stitch, and am basically limited to scarves.

Anyway, I feel inventive having done this, but i'm sure it's probably been done :p

I crocheted the skein of yarn before I knitted it up, and got this.

It's really thick, and reallly stretchy.

So it's neat, (to me at least)  But I don't think it would be good for a scarf.  I'ven o idea what to do with it now, but I wanted to share, and see if this had been done a lot before.

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Snakes! Scarves? Or... playthings?? **NOW WITH TUTORIAL** on: December 07, 2006 08:10:09 PM
I made these over Thanksgiving break out of the ugliest sweater ever.

A small one.

A big one!

Hehe.
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / New Pj's! Yay! on: December 07, 2006 07:51:45 PM
New Pj's! Yay!
I made some new pj's over Thanksgiving break. I've had the kitty flannel for a while, but am lazy. The blue T-shirt material I got for free from work! Yay!

Detail of the top

A matching kerchief! Because why not?? It's much nicer looking than bed head.

A shot of the bottoms

A close up of the print. I have no idea why it looks pilly on my camera. X_X

Full shot!

I didn't have enough to make pants, and when I make shorts they always bunch up when I sleep!! So I made these. They are super comfy and are now my favorite pj's!!
10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Button Boredom! on: November 22, 2006 02:30:09 PM
I was reallly bored the other day, and didn't feel like sewing.  All I had wa sbuttons and meager jewlery supplies, so this is the result.

Nothing amazing, but they were pretty fun, and delayed my boredom for a little while.  Cheesy
