Yay!  I received last night from Ffrogg526!  We've been doing a lot of chatting throughout this swap and she sent me just the most awesomest package!

Okay, I believe in pics, excessively!

The first thing I noticed about the package when I pulled it out of the mailbox was how good it smelled.  I nearly ran home to tear it open.

The result (I could not have been bothered to wind while I tore into it, it was too heavy!).  I really really love this variegated purple/white wool yarn. 


I have been really wanting to make myself to crochet slippers, and that's what I got, plus a crochet magazine, and a fun new age magazine (you cannot go wrong with a magazine that has fairies on the cover, that's all I'm saying):


Look!  I was good and rolled the yarn!  My package came with several handmade thank you and happy birthday cards (plus envelopes), an Ashville NC sticker, a personal letter (thank you!), Ffrogg526 favorite tea (which is so beautiful), yummy scented Tibetan candles, three quartz stones, a quotable magnet, a bamboo (I love bamboo!) afghan/tunisian hook, a notebook with hand-written quotes and designs inside (I took the pictures at 4am this morning and no one else was conscious to help me flip through it to take pictures of everything), a magnet notepad, skully scrap fabric, and hand-painted river rock:


There was also a maroon and skully hook rollup, and I really love those colors together!  Some Vietnamese (litchi) gummies, more hand painted river rocks (by hand painted I mean by Ffrogg526),  sea glass (perfect because I needed these for an upcoming project), crochet flower motifs, and foam skullys:

I have one birthday present to finish and my mom's day present to put together, then I will make my slippers and post the pics from that over the weekend.

I received from Wyked some really awesome motifs!  And I had to fight for them too!  My neighbor ended up receiving them and tried to bring them by and tossed them on my back patio, so it took a couple extra days for me to get them.

Sorry about the crummy pictures.  We are moving and there wasn't a clear surface to shoot them on so I brought them to the office where my desk isn't much cleaner (and IT dept = cave-like lighting)

The variegated sun motif is attached to a navy blue square which gives it lovely depth.  I have matching yarns for these so I am going to have to figure it out and make some of my own:

Yay!  Customs finally released doyouloveanapple's package and delivered on Monday! Our girlies love everything.  We tried to get some good action shots and caught some video, but man those girls are fast!

Here is the box.  The funny thing I noticed was that it was the box I sent!  I remembered it by the funny accordion winkling on one side.  My husband noticed the cute little note on the front:


The first objects out of the box are one of Honey's favoritest toys in the whole world: plastic jingly balls!

This was one of my favorites!  Honeycomb on one side and Leaves (Amber) on the other.  I am thinking I will use it as a kitty picture box and keep treats and catnip inside.

Thank you so much, doyouloveanapple!  One of the jingly balls had a tragic ending this morning when my husband woke up he accidentally stepped on it   Honey quickly stashed the other one safely under the bookcase after that!

Epic fail!

These were originally supposed to be dishcloths (I dl'ed the pattern from joanns.com) but my cat Honey loves them, so...











...I let her keep them.

I made my mom an iPod cozy for her birthday (Sept 2007) and finally got the pictures uploaded to the computer.  I used RedHeart worsted acrylic yarn in "nude" and some Lion Brand worsted wool yarn.  Single crochet sized to fit an iPod.  I don't know how I did the face and ears, lots of trial and error.
