31  2 new bags in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by mpemporium on: February 06, 2008 03:09:45 PM
I got a new sewing machine yesterday, so I just had to put it to good use Smiley

I didn't follow a pattern as such, but used measurements from a bag I had already...

The first one:

And the second one:

They are small messenger bags (basically handbags).

32  Squirrels and CSI in Stenciling: Completed Projects by mpemporium on: December 20, 2007 01:34:16 AM
I made these last night for my sister for Christmas. She loves the TV show 'CSI' so I made her a CSI themed shirt. Also, she is a Brownie leader, and the girls call her 'Squirrel', so I made her a squirrel T-shirt to wear. I hope she likes them!

The front of the CSI T-shirt:

The back of the CSI T-shirt:

The outline was meant to be solid, but I like it the way it is. Do you think I should fill in the bridges?

33  My first attempt at a bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by mpemporium on: June 22, 2007 05:16:50 AM
This is my first attempt at making a bag.  Sorry about the fuzzy photographs!

I drew the cat onto the lining fabric with a fabric pen and then used a sewing machine to attach it to the bag. The bag closure is simply a button with a ribbon loop around it.

The back panel already had a pocket in it, as I cut this from an old skirt.

I love the lining fabric!  Smiley

34  Fried Egg on Toast (yes, it is a dessert!) in Dessert by mpemporium on: June 22, 2007 05:05:26 AM
While on Guide Camp this half term, we made some delicious desserts.

This is Fried Egg on Toast A.K.A.:
a slice of sponge cake (the toast),
some vanilla Angel Delight whip (egg white)
and a peach half (the yolk).

They tasted really great!

35  More Harry Potter potion bottles in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by mpemporium on: April 23, 2007 01:56:29 AM
I made these from old J2O bottles. I cleaned the insides, and filled them with colourful bubble bath. I also made some labels for them, using some of the information from the bubble bath and the rest is from Harry Potter.

I made this a while ago, as a Christmas present. It is a hollow book with a power-cut survival kit inside.

37  black dog from Harry Potter (Siruis Black) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by mpemporium on: April 23, 2007 01:43:20 AM
Here is my finished dog. I made it for one of my friends for her birthday (she is a massive Harry Potter fan, and loves Sirius Black).

I got the pattern from http://www.silverseams.com/blog/patterns/2006/08/basic-standing-wolf-pattern.html

39  Slytherin Bottle from Harry Potter in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by mpemporium on: April 13, 2007 11:01:35 AM
I engraved a bottle a while ago with a Slytherin Crest on it, an filled it with green liquid. It is meant to look like a potion bottle from Harry Potter.

It now has a green ribbon tied around the neck of the bottle, to make it look more pretty!
