I know this is an older project but WOW I'm totally inspired to use my LED lights for something like this now rather than just running them around the walls!

What kind of text is it?
Pretty photos? Wordy?
You could use it to cover something in words with modge-podge. Make word magnets.
Hollow it out and make a stash book?
Paint in it.
Use it as a scrap-book by taping or gluing photos/drawings inside.
