1  Many Jeans Make One Tote Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by sunnyskies*4* on: November 05, 2012 05:04:30 PM
I made this tote bag for my daughter who is in Sr. High. She needed a bag that she could carry all her stuff in from class to class since they now have 2 min between classes! (Small school).

We figured it needed loads of pockets for pens, snacks, notes, etc.

one side

other side

And the pockets on the inside.

3  Re: Birthday Party for 10 year old -- wants soap making at her party!? in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by sunnyskies*4* on: March 15, 2009 07:29:20 PM
Just letting you all know that the party was a big success  Grin Thanks MareMare for the great idea!

Here's a pic of the jars all done and ready to take home:

The girls literally spent 3 hours on this craft and didn't even want to stop for supper since they were having too much fun with this. It was great to not have to worry about any other entertainment besides the food and the cake ofcourse!

Now the girls are already asking to do this again next year! I would certainly call that a hit!  Grin

5  Ribbons & Beads Bookthongs in Beads: Completed Projects by sunnyskies*4* on: July 17, 2008 10:28:14 AM
I've been thinking ahead for Christmas presents and I've made a bunch of these bookthongs that are very simple, easy and fun to make. The most fun part was deciding which beads to match with the ribbon colour!

and a closeup of the beads

Very fun, simple way to use up those beads that are one-of's too!

6  Baby Sweaters and Booties... I've been busy! (aka lots of pics) in Crochet: Completed Projects by sunnyskies*4* on: April 22, 2008 11:10:56 AM
Between co-workers, family members and ladies at my church there are alot of people I know that are having babies so I've been busy with making baby gifts again! I must confess that I love making baby items so I use this as an excuse alot   Wink Tongue

This hoodie is the Bernat Baby Coordinates Baby Hoodie pattern:

Then I started making this pink one but ran out of pink so I modified the pattern to be without the hoodie:

Then I found a super cute and very easy baby bootie pattern and went baby-bootie-crazy this weekend:

And close-ups of my two favourites:

I loved making these little chenelle ones:

and I could not resist adding these cute little bear beads to the ties:

And I know I will be making more because in my part of the world we are getting blasted with more wintery weather so I will be staying home tonight and skipping out on a meeting... and ofcourse doing more crocheting! Grin

7  Some Necklaces and Bracelets I've made... in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by sunnyskies*4* on: December 15, 2007 01:39:51 PM
I've been extra busy these days with a little "side business" selling and making commissioned jewellry for co-workers who are doing some Christmas Shopping at work through me! Hey its a win-win situation for all parties!  Grin

So anyways here's a "group pic" of a bunch that I've made:

I made loads of earrings too but I forgot to take pics of them.  It's been fun but I am thankful in some ways that it's slowing down now! Time to make some fun stuff for me now!  Grin

I'm finally posting a pic of the skirt I made about 2 weeks ago. "Life stuff" and working 4 days per week keep getting in the way of my crafting time!  Sad

Not the best pic really but it does show it. Its a lovely crushed dobb material with a shiny floral/stripe tone on tone pattern on it. This is my new favourite skirt! (until I make a next one!  Wink)

And a necklace to go with my new skirt!

This is funny for me to love wearing brown now b/c I used to strongly dislike it! Funny how tastes change over time!

10  Belt Buckle Pendant w/Wooden Bead in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by sunnyskies*4* on: August 18, 2007 06:37:26 AM
It started out as a basic square belt buckle and a wooden bead that fit onto the center thingy (whatever it's called!).

and after some wrapping with wire to hold everything in place and adding some other recycled beads this is what I ended up with:

What do you think? Cool or not cool?

It's quite different and much chunkier then what I would usually wear so I'm not too sure about it yet myself.
