1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / ATC image swap w/nearly instant gratification... on: March 12, 2007 10:37:00 AM
Swap idea: Would anyone be interested in doing a web-based image swap? We could attach a unique (or digitally altered), interesting image, one that is ATC sized or less, to an e-mail and send it to our swap partners. No copyrighted images, tho. If anyone is interested, I would organize. It would take little effort to swap images this way, and sending and receiving would be almost instantaneous! No hounding the postman for this one! So what do you think? Thanks for reading, all!
2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / Butterflie's ATCs (IMG Heavy) (New Additions) on: February 04, 2007 08:32:59 PM
My ATC's:

"Past" - traded

"Present" - traded

"Future"

"Art is Multi-Medium" - traded

"Benign Addiction" - traded

Comments are much appreciated! I'm so new at this, ANY advice is fantastic.

**Edited to add: I know my pics are sized funny....These are really 2.5 X 3.5...They just went wonky when I resized them.

4  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Craftster Itself / Want to subscribe... on: February 03, 2007 05:31:41 PM
I want to subscribe and become a friend of Craftster, but I don't have a credit card, and I don't foresee one in the near future...I also know nothing about paypal, and I was wondering if there was any other way I could subscribe...? Any help would be much appreciated!

Snaps,
Anne
5  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / Relatively new crafter - need help!! on: January 12, 2007 11:10:34 AM
I've been watching all the beautiful cards you guys are making. I'm hoping you can give me some advice on how to get started  Huh  and maybe some general directions. I also hope I haven't posted this request in the wrong place and that no one thinks I'm dumb for asking.  Undecided  I'd really like to get into this stuff. Please help, craftsters!! Thanks in advance for being so understanding of my ignorance.  Roll Eyes

Thanks to all the wonderful replies and encouragements, I've finished my first three cards! And without further ado:

This is "Sun on the Water" - Acrylic paints

This is "Sun on the Water II" - lol It's basically the same view with a different medium. It's fabrics, foam, and layers.

This one is "Retribution" and I apologize in advance if it offends anyone. I painted the background first (obviously) and it looked like fire. So I thought, who should be IN the fire? And, well, you see the results. The text reads "Gone but not Forgiven" in case it's blurry.

Edited to add:

"Who's the cat?" Newspaper, ink, and cardstock. I drew Garfield myself...be gentle, I'm not a great draw-er.  Wink Anyway, the text says "Garfield is better (and bigger too)"

If anyone is interested in swapping for one of these in my *very first* ATC swap EVER, just pm me. Thanks for looking and being newbie-tolerant. Any comments/criticisms/advice/questions welcome!!

6  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Darth Maul stencil on: December 25, 2006 07:35:33 PM
My brother is a Star Wars fanatic, and I stencilled this shirt for him for Christmas. It's not really crooked. I just got a new camera, and cannot use it yet.  Cheesy

Anyway, the shirt:

I didn't use the typical method; I cut the stencil out of the self-sticking foam sheets you can buy at Wal-Mart. Then I stuck it to the shirt, painted  it in, and then peeled it off. It worked great! Wouldn't recommend it for tiny stuff, but for this it did well.

Any comments or criticisms most welcome!!
