1  How do you make a skirt like the one in this picture (included)? in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by happysmiley474 on: March 13, 2008 04:53:04 PM
I found this picture and fell in love with the skirt the girl is wearing:

Here's a close-up:

I'm still a beginner in sewing and everything, but I found this awesome fabric at the craft store the other day and I thought maybe I could make one like this because it doesn't look that complicated (is it?)
I'm guessing it's what's called a paper bag waist skirt?

Thanks in advance  Cheesy

2  a whole lotta small junk.. [**WITH IMAGES**] in What the heck can I do with THIS? by happysmiley474 on: October 27, 2006 01:55:57 PM
i went through a big box of 'stuff' under my bed yesterday....
i threw most of the stuff out--since they were stuff that really couldnt be used for anything anyway--but kept some interesting looking-pieces... that i dont have any idea what to do with.
any ideas???
(sry bout the bad quality of the pics... dumb camera..)

the pikachu is about 1-inch tall and has a slightly faded nose.. (as u can see). it just sorta stands there, and its made out of some kind of hard material, so i can just go and easily make it into a charm either...
what do you think i shud do with it?

you cant really see in this foto, but its transparent pink and has a little loop at the top. the problem is, when i tried to threat a necklace chain throuh the loop, i discovered that it was too small and i cudnt fit th chain in... so now i dunno what to do. just thought it was such a waste, since it was so pretty.

those plastic aliens that you et for like 50 cents in those capsules? these onesare playing instruments, but i have a ton of others carrying laser guns and stuff.... i have NO idea what to do with them... i was thinking maybe turn them into charms? but how cud i poke a hole through those aliens??? oh yeah and the dice. its from a board game.. i think. i dunno what to do with it either.

this is.. a tiny rusty red lock that i lost the key to... for this, once again, i was thinking maybe a charm for my charm necklace? but would that look weird? a lock hanging from a necklace??

two marbles and a tiny glass turtle. the marbles.. well, i just found them, and the glass turtle.. it came with the snack i bought at the japanese market..

i dunno what they're called... fuzzballs? do they have a name? what do they do besides look pretty?

one of those ironed-bead creations that i made when i was little. it's pretty big, about the siz of my hand (which is not that big; i have small hands, but still). wat shud i do w/ it?

and finally, lots and LOTS f colorful buttons.

do you guys have any ideas? i would love anything.
thnx!
