Duluth/Superior - I was thinking of naming it Land and Deep Water and then I thought of Lake Superior, the deepest lake in the world.

Congrats on your yarn.  Just a heads up, though.  Lake Superior is the deepest of the great lakes, but Lake Baikal in Siberia is the deepest lake in the world.   Grin

Thirding the need to add more twist!  The singles look BEAUTIFUL!  They're so nice and even!  Also, getting a tensioned lazy kate could help.

I have a new one!

This is the second of the maple colorway.

Plied Socks (100% superwash wool)
200 yds
Fingering to light fingering
4 oz

These pictures were taken without flash, so you can see how much lustre there is off this yarn.  there's more details on the finishing technique (microwave finishing) on my blog.

I <3 the cabled yarn!  Wowza!!  Shocked

Here's what I've got this week!!!

The first 4 oz of 24 oz (yikes)
Plied Socks
Light fingering to fingering
Colorway: Maple
Two ply
200 yds (So I'll probably get about 1200 yds out of the whole caboodle)

The second helping of Maple, only one ply spun up so far:

Finally, a friend giften me Merino/Silk batts, 3 oz of them, and I'm spinning them up into a laceweight two-ply.  Should be lovely.

More info on my blog Smiley

My turn (love straw into gold, by the way!)

These are slightly late, but I wanted to hit Friday, so pardon the crappy lighting.

Yarn: Plied Compliments 100% Silk
Colorway: Mermaid
Yardage: ~125
Weight: Light fingering to lace
Hand dyed and spun by moi.

Just to give an overview, these are two separate yarns.  One is two-ply and the other is navajo.  They go together, though, and they compliment each other.  Smiley

Thanks, guys!  It was about 1/2 a pound, but I actually have another half pound of the same fibre just in case.  If I don't need it, I'll probably knit a second clap for my mom.  Smiley

I'm busily working on a Clapotis from my handspun.  I love it so much, I want to show you all!

100% Merino Top - Ruby Sunset
800 yds.

The Clap!

I like was it hard to make Huh

Not even kind of.  I've been knitting for five years, though, but I think it'd be a great first lace project to try.
