1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / circle skirt help on: January 03, 2008 02:21:03 PM
okay, so I have been looking for directions to making circle skirts all over, here and on the web, and the more I read the more confused I get.

I want to make a skirt with 40'' waist (sitting lower than natural waist).

In some directions,I see the radius should be 40''/6.28

is this the correct one? do you have a formula that was tested and works?

also, about that waist band - is it a strip of fabric folded in 2 and pinned and then sewn to the fabric itself?  Huh a more detailed tutorial on that will be greatly appreciated.

thank you!
