3  My new BOLD RETRO print silk summer dress! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Galuchka on: July 09, 2007 11:06:03 PM

Well, I bought new shoes, and I realized I have no proper dress to wear along with them.

Also I remembered, that being so awfully busy with studies and work I havent got the time to invest into sewing, my not long ago found hobby.

So, I used this tut - http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=180032.0 for inspiration,
and 3 hours later I had this dress. This is my second dress I am ever making, and I am quite pleased with the results Smiley

So here it is:

6  Re: Ridiculously easy american apparel knit tube dress (with tutorial!) in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Galuchka on: May 06, 2007 04:01:20 PM
Hey,
I came accross this and I had to give it a try..

well, I made it out of pink polka dot lycra I had, and the hardest part was to cut both pieces to match.. and I was happy my little sewing machine handled sewing it well, since it aint the easiest fabric to work with if you dont have a serger.

I suppose it would be looking better with jeans as at is looks a bit trashy, but here it is -

Thanks for the tutorial and the Super-easy Idea!!!

and the front - came a bit blurry:

7  Satin Summer dress - Brown with lace!! (also, my first dress made from scratch) in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Galuchka on: April 25, 2007 04:06:22 AM
Hello gorgeous people of craftster Smiley

2 days ago I decided it was time I try to sew something more serious, and as the summer is already here, I made a satin brownish dress, with lace details ( I adore lace  Cheesy ).

I made it all myself, first time ever I do a piece of clothing from scratch and not reconstruction..

So here are the pics:

and finally, another pic of the dress

8  My first bag ever - and its PINK TARTAN ! yay! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Galuchka on: March 07, 2007 04:38:16 PM
Hey Everyone Smiley

this is the first time I am getting into sewing something serious - I have made this bag for my studies at the UNI.

Its Quite big, very roomy, and even has lining!
I have a zip pocket for my Make-up, a pocket closing with velctro for my cellphone and another pocket for just random stuff.
I also used my sewing machine to make this "embroidery " on the handles  Smiley

I must thank this wonderful place, I dont think I could make it without the tutorials - so once again, thanks to everyone who inspired and guided me.

so here it is - my first creation  Grin

I couldnt post pictures, since I am a newbie, but here are the links:
