61  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / BLANKET/QUILT MEASUREMENTS on: September 19, 2007 07:33:44 PM
So, i did a search on google and on here and have had no luck. This may be a stupid question, but does anyone know a website or something that has basic, general blanket/quilt measurements?

Like, the measurements for a twin sized blanket or a full sized blanket?

I get the feeling that the answer to this is going to a very "duh" moment...hehe
62  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: TUTORIAL: messenger bag with zippered divider (many pics) on: September 18, 2007 02:56:18 PM
oh man, this is one of the best messenger bags i've ever seen. it's so simple, yet that simplicity is what makes it so stylish! hehe

also, it's one of the best tutes i've ever seen. good job! you rock!

i'm at work, but my head is swimming with the desire to go to the fabric store and then churn out these bags for my loved ones and i.
63  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Incorporating a knife into a costume? on: September 12, 2007 04:45:44 PM
last year i was Alice from that twisted alice in wonderland game. so i had to have an oversized knife, but didn't want to have to carry around a stupid piece of plastic all night, so i made a giant knife shaped clutch/purse, with wrist strap...i don't have pictures of it, but i made it out of black and silvery vinyl. it worked pretty well and killed two birds with one stone.
64  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Whats Scary? Like real life scary? on: September 04, 2007 10:17:12 PM
i think the bloody animals on a stick would be amazingly fabulous. especially if they were made to look real.

if they were tall enough, i would looove if when people walked under them they dripped "blood" on the passerby.

maybe you could do some sort of a "butcher shop gone bad" motif. that would be cool...when i was little, that would have scared the bejesus out of me, if it was done well. even as a child, my tolerance for obvious fakeness was very low.

dolls still creep me out. dolls and deformed ghost children....

i absolutely looove everything you make! so wonderfull. but i this is my favorite so far because of the length. it's kind of bondage-y, and that rocks.

i totally thought about chenille, cause that's all i could find at Joann's, but i really want it to be either black or red (gotta be punk, even during bath time. lol)

how well would chenille dye i wonder....
68  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / I want to make a robe. on: June 11, 2007 05:32:22 PM
So my dog ate my robe and I need a new one. But they are expensive! and i can't find a cute one in my size. So i was thinking about making one. Like, maybe out of towels or something. cause i definately want it to be terry cloth.

does anyone know of a good pattern for a big fluffy bath robe? maybe how to make one out of big towels?
69  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Vintage Beefcake on: May 01, 2007 02:02:29 PM
Hi! This is my first post ever. Been lurking for a long time, but I'm a shy kid.

Anywho, my question is, does anyone know where to find old beefcake pictures that are public domain? I'm making a fund raiser calender and am not looking forward to paying any royalties or anything like that.
