31  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Punk-ish Beanie on: November 21, 2006 05:08:07 PM
This is a black beanie I got not too long ago, and I added stuff to it over the course of two days (this Sunday and Monday). The style is inspired by the Japanese brand Candystripper. They make cool stuff for girls, and use punk motifs like skulls, zombie skaters, studs, and cute furry woodland creatures. The official site may not have great things since it's winter, and it's rare to have nice winter clothing. Here's a Yahoo! Japan Auctions list of some CS products. Only about 90% are really CS, others are under that tag because the people auctioning off the stuff think people may buy something 'cause it's similar in style to CS.

The beanie.

It's black with a pyramid stud (it used to have 2, bu tthe other fell off), so round studs, a white ornate cross with white embroidery running stitch, a black-and-white-striped bow, and a white/light silver chain positioned around the hat with safety pins.

Me wearing it.

Hope you guys like it. I showed people it for the first time today, and they all like it; a lot of them think it's cute. Cheesy
32  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Giant Felt Skull Pin Thing??? on: November 03, 2006 04:14:40 PM
Not much to really say... uh... it was made with a sewing macine, I traced a pattern on felt... I think.. I do'nt really remember, anyways, I sewed around it leaving a gay to turn it inside-out and I stuffed it. I did that for the Skull and the crossbones. I fabric-glued the black felt on for the eyes and nose. The crossbones are held together with small safety pins, and they is also safety pins on the back of the skull and bones to pin them on clothing.

The pin(s).

Me wearing the pin.

I originally wanted to do some jeans that had patches from other jeans, so I took the back pocket from this jeans. THat didn't turn out too well, so I gave up on that. Then, I though I should make this shorts all white, so I attempted to bleach them, but I did not have enough bleach. So then I got the idea for these shorts. The end. I guess the moral is to keep trying with every failed idea untill you make kick-ass pants. That's what the story of Adam and Eve is about. The back looks like I defecated bleach on myself. Undecided

Some info about me: Hmm... not funny or good looking, cant' do any crafty stuffs, at least not the right traditional way. I'm a dude. 17 years young. I love the Japanese music duo PUFFY, better known as Puffy AmiYumi in the states because of the rapper Diddy, when he used to have the name "Puffy". I like acting self-centered; I really am not Smiley. I love being ironic. <3.

Strange coincidence: Yumi of PUFFY wore shorts like these when I saw them last (this) summer, but I swear I had the image of my shorts first!

Oh, and some fun facts about this: The first time I wore this, the back pocket started coming apart (since I had cut it out to use for something else, and just stiched around it to put it back on), so you could see my boxers! Luckily I had brought my sweatshirt with me to school. Then the second time I wore it, part of it came out again! Luckily, it wasn't to noticeable, and I was wearing sweat pants underneath. I love shorts over pants, very nice!

Sorry if I talked/typed to much  Embarrassed.
