201  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / felted bag gone wrong/right on: October 24, 2006 08:19:15 PM
I made this little bag from a felted crochet project that came out all wrong. The original bag was a big sack with turquoise as the main part and maroon edging. But when I felted it, the maroon yarn didn't shrink up! So I cut it down and sewed it into this little guy.

I love the beaded decorations. I did something simliar to the circular pattern on a sweater once to hide a stain, and I got many compliments.
203  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: making a ferret toy + ferret toy question on: October 24, 2006 01:44:50 PM
I'd like to crochet a ferret sweater, but my first attempt was useless. I made it all one piece and there's no way to get them to stay still long enough to pull a collar over their head and pull their paws through armholes. But they're so damn skilled at getting out of clothes, any claps, ties, velcro are easy to undo for them. Anyone seen any good patterns?

I saw that same artist's work on this site http://whatnottocrochet.wordpress.com/
I think it's awesome (unlike some of the hideous things on there that you really should NOT crochet).

It's crocheted by hand, here's the link to the pattern I used.

My little varigated pumpkin. I heard there is a lack of pumpkins here in New England this year because of the lousy weather this summer, so I thought I'd contribute to the population.  Wink
