4  gnome in paris in Needlework: Completed Projects by soraia bejinhos on: October 12, 2008 08:14:24 PM
i made this for an amelie swap that i did a few months ago.  i made it look like the polaroids that she has sent to her dad of his garden gnome around the world.  i embroidered it on felt then hand sewed it onto the pouch before sewing.

i had fun making this.  what do you think??

7  castelo branco embroidery in Needlework: Completed Projects by soraia bejinhos on: October 12, 2008 07:26:18 PM
this is a Portuguese regional form of embroidery that my aunt doesn for a living.  when i was visiting her in Portugal this summer she taught me all of the secrets of this style.  it is always done on linen and with silk thread.  this is the second one that i ever embroidered:

let me know what you think!!

****thank you so much for all of your comments.  however, please do not recreate this pattern or style so the history and integrity of this regional Portuguese embroidery can stay intact.  thanks so much, i hope you understand why i am asking for you not to recreate it.****

10  elvis reversible drink sleeve!!! in Completed Projects by soraia bejinhos on: October 08, 2008 08:10:06 PM
elvis is awesome and so is this b&w fabric!!! this is a reversible and reusable (totally eco-friendly) drink sleeve.  one side has the awesome elvis print and the other has a funky red dots print.  i think the black, white, and red go great together!

what do you think??
