Mandalinn- I love your bamboo yarn! It looks so shiny and I love the color.

Here's my spinning for this week.

This is about 90 yards of worsted wool. I got the ball of roving for Mill End Yarn in Eaton Rapids, MI. It's a really deep red/burgundy with a tiny bit of almost black bits which only showed up once I started spinning it. I love it.

Everyone's yarns look great!

I've been spinning some.

This is BFL top from Hello Yarn. I've got about eight ounces and I've been spinning it for socks. Just a single. The yarn in the photo came out to about 300 yards. I'm fairly new at spinning and I'm starting to realize how much roving makes a certain number of yards, which is coming in very handy.

RepoRebo I really like your yarn this week. It's very pretty.
feralfeminine I love "Skip". I think it's really cool how you spun the white and colors like that.

I meant to post yesterday, but I got side-tracked while packing for Alaska.
This is some Hello Yarn BFL top in "Very Cherry". I spindle spun it because I wanted to be able to spin in school during the last week of nothingness. I'm planning on knitting socks with it. There should be about 172 yards there. I'm working on a second skein right now.

This is a heavy worsted to bulky yarn. Two ply. Three ounces. It's BFL and it was fun to spin up. I usually spin a lot thinner.

The pastel skein is 3 oz. of BFL top.. I spun it sooo very finely, and then navajo plied it. It's still very fine. I love it.

The teal with yellow and red is unknown roving.

It's better viewed larger, so just visit my flickr in my signature.

7  Re: Has anyone tried/seen the new Victoria? in Spinning: Discussion and Questions by Wileycomma on: March 30, 2007 07:27:05 AM
I got mine last week. I was a bit AWOL because my camera went missing, but I found it and I can post pictures now!

This is what is on my bobbin at the moment. It's some really nice BFL and I'm spinning it very finely in hopes of navajo plying it into some nice  lace or sock yarn.

The Victoria spins wonderfully. I love how I can adjust the tension with the tension knob, rather than with the regular Louet bobbin brake. The only thing that bothers me about this wheel is that the right treadle creaks, but I'm sure that I can fix that. I've just been too busy spinning to try. =]

Here is some mystery wool that I spun up on my new Louet Victoria. It's Navajo plied, and I think I might like that technique the best because I don't have any odd amounts of left over singles.
