Here's my updated list:

MIL: Tuscany Shawl from NSFY Done!
Sister: Knit Blanket + Pillow (Started)
Gramma: Knit vest (yarn is on it's way here - hopefully I'll get it by the end of the week)
Grandpa: Knit Hat and Scarf Decided to go with something else instead!
Aunt: Counterpoint Scarf from MagKnits (Started)
SIL:Mittens Made ornaments instead
Dad: I'm hoping to get 2 pairs of socks knit for him (Yarn ordered for one pair)
All sets/singles of grandparents/parents: Hand print ornaments from my son, and possibly from my daughter as well
Son: It's his first Christmas, so I need to make him a stocking 
Daughter: PJ Set (I don't know if I'll get this done or not - the sewing machine is NOT calling to me these days!)
Hubby:Socks (Started)

Here's the specs:

Yarn: Elann Sonata in Victorian Grape - 5 balls
Needles: US6 Clover Takumi Circs
Additional info: Only did 9 of the 11 sets of repeats as it already measured to the pattern specs at this point. If I were to make it for myself, I would definitely knit the full 11 repeats - but the recipient is about 4" shorter than I am, so it should be a perfect fit for her.

All that's left to be done is blocking and tucking in a few ends

I am incredibly happy with how well it turned out - this is my largest, and only lace project to date. I absolutely LOVE it and hope the recipient does too (won't find out till Christmas though - the suspense just might drive me insane!)

I received!! I am SO in LOVE with the yarn! It's Drops Silke-Alpaca in the richest chocolate-y brown! Oh the yummyness of it!

This is my first time posting one of my finished quilt projects projects here. I made this last winter as a Christmas gift to myself - my second-ever quilt - and then my daughter stole it because she loved it so much. Ah well, tis life! Anyways, it's pretty plain and simple - just 8x8 blocks sewn together, the binding is also the backing, made from Amy Butler fabric that I love.

I was still working on my straights (still waiting for my circs to come in), and some how, my 3yo daughter managed to stand on the needles I was using and snap them right in half  I managed to save my work, but it was a "heart in stomach" moment for sure!

Ok, I feel like a bit of a jerk - I received my large package a few days ago, and my medium one quite some time ago, and haven't had the chance to post any pics before now!

handbaghannah83 was my secret craftster, and a wonderful one she was!

For my medium package, she sent:

2 onesies for my son (one with a turtle, which I swore I took a photo of, but is not showing up on my camera - I'll take a pic of it again when it gets out of the wash )


3 shirts for my daughter:

I fianlly got over my fear and gave socks a try! I only have the one done so far, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!

Here it is!:


The pattern is Spa Socks from the Spring '07 issue of knit.1, knit in Blue Sky Alpacas Organic cotton on us8's. Still needs a button, but I was too excited to wait to show it off!

Oh, and best of all? It fits (I added an extra 1/2 inch, but hey, it worked!)!!

There were also some gummy worms, but my daughter took off with them as soon as they came out of the package!
