Haha! Nano has been making me want to sew too... Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on your perspective) almost all my fabric is at home, since I spent the last couple of months making my Halloween costume and didn't think I'd have time for anything else...

And that is really cute! I love the color.

Wow, that completely rocks. I love polka dots, I love corsets, I love the colors you used! I might have to pick up that pattern...

I love it! The image looks really awesome. Hee hee, I think the fireys would have scared me if I'd seen it when I was little too... and I also wouldn't have enjoyed David Bowie to the fullest  Wink
146  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Nuala on: October 30, 2006 08:57:37 PM
Hi everyone! This is my first project post at Craftster  Grin Here is my Halloween costume. It is Nuala from the Sandman series by Neil Gaiman. I made the cloak from scratch and with some assistance by a sewing machine (the fabric frays a lot so I had to finish the edges--otherwise I probably wouldn't have bothered, since the sewing machine is at home and I'm at college), but partially by hand. The dress has a white T-shirt as the base, but the skirt and the strings across the front are from scratch. The skirt isn't hemmed, but I don't really have time to finish it (Halloween is tomorrow!) and it doesn't seem like it will fray.

This is the first project I've sewed in a really long time, so it's not perfect... but I'm really happy with it!

That so rocks!

I would also love to see a tutorial... even though a bra is something I will probably not have the skill to make for a very long time...  Tongue
