1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Red Funky Botanical purse on: April 06, 2007 05:31:20 PM
I think I found my summer bag (well with a few tweaks to it).
Here's one I did last night. It has pockets around the whole exterior. I love the style but overall it's very *VB* to me.  plus I need longer handles on mine. Now I need to find some fabric for ME! Smiley

2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Pink Paisley- some summer fun and the Cowboy Blues on: April 03, 2007 05:29:35 AM
I've been doing a lot of sewing but not so much picture taking Grin
although the warmer it gets the less action my sewing machine is seeing these days but here are a few of my latest.

Pink paisley- my sister wants something made from this fabric which is shocking since she's the least *pink* person I know Smiley

side view

Cowboy blues- loved the boot print

buttons on the cowboy bag

Multistripe with chain handle (from hardware store- yay!)

Yellow clutch

Blue/orange mini carryall - not crooked in real life, lol
this is one deep little tote

Last but not least
Quilted beach tote

Thanks for looking!
Have a great day  Smiley
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / A couple of new rag totes and two purses on: March 05, 2007 11:39:30 AM
I've become fixated on rag totes lately so here's a couple more I've just finished
Friendship star -Hawaiian style  Smiley finished size 11" tote

A little summer fun- this one is about 7.5"

Eccentric Star tote

This was my xmas purse I made for myself- I've gotten tons of comments on it Grin

Roundish dots- the interior is lined with the reverse print

Wow sorry for the *big* photos  Roll Eyes
Hope you enjoyed them!!

4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Patriotic & Pink rag totes on: February 27, 2007 07:22:30 AM
My latest two bags- I don't know if my washing machine will recover after washing these two, lol.
*Note to self- next time go to the laundromat!*

Pink Rag tote (about a 12"x12")
There are little dk gray studs on the diamond shape but they didn't photograph well. I think it needs another wash before I sell it.

Little patriotic tote-( approx 7.5"x7.5")
I just love this one- I knew I had those big wooden buttons for a reason Smiley

On a really happy note, I discovered my purse labels can hold up to the washer & dryer(high heat too!) Yay   Grin
5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Some new spring/summer purses :) (lots of pics) on: February 23, 2007 09:45:02 PM
This is my latest group of purses I made for my friends shop- she doesn't do a ton of business but enough so I can feed my fabric addiction Smiley

This is my favorite- tote and checkbook cover

Inside is muslin

Ready for summer- it's a almost like the Jordy

Loved this fabric but I ruined the effect by adding the pleated pockets to the front  Angry so I played some more with my new bejeweler and added some rhinestones, lol

Inside of the tropical

Loved this fabric but couldn't decide if it screamed summer or fall-
Mini Tote

inside

Palm Trees- This bag is quite large- I wasn't happy after I made it- it needed a little *umph* so I added some gold studs here and there.

Mint green dots

Brown faux leather clutch- LOVE this pattern- it's the freebie off the Kwik Sew site- I added a handle that can be hidden.

Thanks for looking!  Grin
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Bunches of Bags on: November 27, 2006 04:50:59 AM
You all have inspired me so here are a few of my *firsts*-
excuse the not great pictures- I took them really late at night (& very tired!) *sorry about the links Smiley

The brown paisley/olive green was my first (the combo looks like camo to me  Smiley

My first with a zipper & piping- messed up the bottom so the final version had a bunch of buttons on the bottom.

These next two taught me about what type of interfacing I shouldn't use with certain fabrics (the blue is also an experiment in flaps)

I originally bought this black fabric as a lining but fell in love with it- the red is hand dyed felted wool I get locally.

Cute brown cord purse

First *quilted* tote with Debbie Mumm panel (my SIL hinted about getting one of these for xmas, lol)

Experiment in rag quilting

Quilted pointsetta

and my favorite....

whew! thanks for looking!
