Thanks for all the love in this thread! <3

@ljsdraper - I don't remember the dimensions. We gave this to my mother in law years ago, and she lives in another country. Just decide how big you want your letter squares to be, and then work your way out from there, making your board accommodate your letters wide enough and tall enough to make your message.

@chocolate.kisses I don't mind at all, just wanted to share what we did Smiley

These are so amazingly fab-tabulous, and I love them.
The fiance has been bothering me to let him dedicate a room in our apartment to gamer chic, and these make me want to let 'im have the bathroom.
Seriously, though. I want to make shower curtains to match your soap.

Oh. My. Gosh. Gamer shower curtains to match would totally, totally RULE! DO IT!!! (and then show us all photos - MUST SEE!) <3

Thank you for all of the great, positive comments! I appreciate them Smiley

For those with concerns: I have consulted an attorney on this matter, and because I am not using the words "Nintendo" or "NES" or "SNES" or "N64", etc. on my products (note the packaging, for example, and the fact that none of the cartridges have any company names/Nintendo on them) I am fine; I even have verbiage to make it very clear that I am not licensed nor trying to pass these off as official licensed merchandise, they are just fan created replicas, etc. It's the same reason that digitalsoaps.net is able to create soap in the shape of controllers for popular consoles such as NES, Playstation, and XBOX. They are stated as replicas, not endorsed by the companies - and Digital Soaps has been reviewed and featured on over 1,000 blogs, including CNet and been acknowledged by Nintendo. Like me, their replica controllers have no company names on them + everything comes with proper verbiage, etc. Digital Soaps takes it one step further than I do, however, and they do use trademarked names on their site - with TM, copyrights, etc. in place. I am playing it safe by using terms such as 8-Bit vs. NES, even though I've been told I am fine.

You'll notice that the Handheld soaps I have up in the pictures DO have "Gameboy" on them, and Nintendo with their TM listed (and on my tags, proper credit is given - verbiage again) but the Handheld soaps are not currently for sale. I am currently giving them away free, but no money is exchanging hands for the Handheld soaps as I work those details out. What's funny is that I can't even apply for licensing yet, as I don't sell/make enough. Go figure.

Thank you for your concerns.

Hey! I met you this weekend in Broad Ripple! Love the soaps... my husband has been telling everyone about them. Checking out the website right now!

HEY! Thank you so much, it was great meeting you this past weekend Smiley (Craftster is a small world!) Smiley

Thanks for all of the positive feedback everyone! They do look so real that there have been several occasions now where I'll go to get one to package up and I've gotten them mixed up with the real thing (until I touch it, of course!) hehe

Someone wanted me to try making one of the 8-bit cartridges in the "limited edition" gold Zelda style. This is what I came up with for a first try.

I've combined my love of gaming and my crafty love of soapmaking. I'm in heaven. <3

Wanted to share some new geeky soap with you from the GEEKSOAP line. These are a big hit!

64-Bit Game Cartridge GEEKSOAP

8-Bit Game Cartridge GEEKSOAP

Handheld Game Cartridge GEEKSOAP

All of them so far...

I've currently got the 16-bit version cooling so it will be added to the mix soon Smiley

They are all 100% solid soap, which means they weigh more than the real thing! lol Smiley The 8-bit weighs 9oz, the 16-bit weighs 8oz, the 64-bit weighs 5oz, and the Handheld one weighs 1.5oz. They are scented an incredibly refreshing lime mint fragrance Cheesy

Thanks for looking Smiley

hahaha thanks everyone Smiley

I totally wanted to spell out soap in binary but as pointed out, that would be one big bar of soap (or teeeeeeny tiny numbers) lol
