1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: nintendo controller ds lite case w/ mini tutorial on: October 19, 2006 08:08:47 AM
Very nice work!  The stitching on the plastic canvas is beautifully done and so is the finishing.  You should be proud.  Thanks for including instructions.  I just did a post on Blog about needlepointing for gamers so I added a link to this.

How about something video game related?  Check out Etsy.com for ideas (search on words like Playstation, DS, video game, Mario, Pac Man, etc.) or try plastic canvas which is easy and cheap (use plastic canvas and cheap knitting yarn found at any crafts store).

This kleenex box is based on symbols found in the Mario games.

Glue strong magnets inside the plastic canvas and make magnet buttons of video game icons to stick all over the outside or the frig.

If you need instructions for stitching plastic canvas, here are some pretty good ones.

I've seen awesome scarfs with video game motifs like these.  Not sure how good you are at original knitted stuff, but they are knockouts when done.

Hope this helps.
