1  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Onesie Question on: February 05, 2009 10:39:29 AM
Hi,

I recycled a kids t-shirt into a baby onesie, what do I use to finish the edges?  Anyone got any suggestions?  IS there something I can buy something to cover the edges up...

Thanks!

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Checkered Summer Dress on: August 07, 2008 01:12:20 AM
This was a dress I got from salvation army.  I paid $6 and what drew my attention to it was the buttons.  I loooove buttons and these little ones were too snazzy to pass up.  Plus the dress had pockets already, which was a nice find.

The original dress size was a 10 and it had the lovely shoulder pads attached, which is what every girl has to have.

3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Coolest Wreath Around! on: December 11, 2007 08:42:44 PM
I vowed towards the end of this year to not purchase something i could make.  So in lew of this early new years resolution, i made my own wreath.

It is made out of fabric, that was purchased to make a dress; free cork, ribbon, hot glue, and red glitter.

It is amazing what one can do with a glue gun!  Cheesy

Happy Holidays!
4  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Headboard & Duvet Cover on: November 27, 2007 08:36:40 PM
So, I am a cheap crafty person who likes to make things.  Which is probably all of us on this site! Cheesy  I have always wanted a duvet cover, but never really saw one I liked, so I made one.  Sorry, just a close-up for now...

In addition, I made a headboard.
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Baby Bib & Booties on: November 27, 2007 05:41:11 PM
I love cute little things and I started to make a bunch of these little bibs to give away as gifts for the tons of babies entering this world.  This past year it has been a sudden surge of them it seems like it!

Here is the end receiver wearing one!

Here are a pair of booties i knitted for a buddy and his ladies bundle of joy!  This pattern was found on line, I am trying to relocate to give credit.  I stepped up the design by adding the lace and chilli's on the heals.

Thanks Wink

7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / I heart handbags - 002_The Reverse on: November 27, 2007 01:18:45 PM
I had started making handbags about a year or so ago.  This was a few I had made and sold to people I know, most of the time, I never take photos of my work, I know really bad.  But this one I titled it 002_The Reverse.  I sold this one, but made another for myself with the white and blue fabric.  I used a bunch of fabric swatches I got for free and some i bought.  I got lucky and found this at the thrift store in the city.
