I've got to be completely honest here and say that the first painting of Nancy is nice, but just okay.  However, the second one is brilliant!  I think, if anything, you're improving.  I know that I don't know Nancy and thus there is no point of reference there, but I am an art student so I like to think I know a bit about art.

I am sorry about your cat.  I, too, had a three legged cat and I miss him!  His name was Weebles and he was pretty much an amazing cat.  More doglike in behavior and very full of personality.  I miss his loud meowing when he felt ignored or angry.   

LOL....I just came downstairs after re-discovering the fabrics I bought at IKEA when I visited my sister.  I was so excited and logged in and BAM!  There was my fabric in adorable bag form!  I love it!
