1  Where to find glass trinket boxes? in Discussion and Questions by chica grande mas bonita on: July 19, 2013 01:27:15 PM
Anyone know where on the web I could source a handful of glass jewelry/trinket boxes?
Making wedding party gifts for a friend's wedding so it would be great if they matched.
Something like the photo sans unicorn etching.... basically brass and glass, all clear, maybe a little smaller than a tissue box, rectangular.... not too demanding this bride Smiley

2  Do you feel lucky, punk? Resin pistol necklace in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by chica grande mas bonita on: June 30, 2008 01:33:13 PM
OKay, so I don't really know if this is a pistol, a revolver or what. But it is a shabang necklace. I made the first one at a craft sale and traded it away immediately with Snew- another lovely resin artist. Hers was pink with a teeny white pearl. I am going to be making more of these.....

comments and suggestions welcome!

5  More new resin pendants- raccoons, ribbons, rings and um. rother stuff. in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by chica grande mas bonita on: April 19, 2008 10:25:30 AM
Here are a bunch of new resin pendants I am working on-- I have so many made for this season's craft fairs, it is ridiculous. The stands keep falling over because I have SO MANY.

Vintage plastic raccoon with a tiny plastic mushroom. He looks kind of melancholy.

cheetah head against some lovely origami paper.

I LOVE this image-- I have some huge earrings I made with it. Love it love it.

the philosopher pendant- for some reason I love this picture.

and new rings I am working on-- SUPER SHINY. I have another one with a picture of a purple and blue beta fish, and it is AMAZING.

And i forgot the ribbon! the crux of my titular alliteration!

7  T-Rex, EXIT STAGE RIGHT in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by chica grande mas bonita on: April 10, 2008 07:25:12 AM
I have been making ridiculous resin things with tiny plastic other things imbedded for quite some time now, but I was trying to keep everything elegant and not.... ridiculous. Well, lets embrace it.
This is my favorite, most ridiculous new pendant.
This guy is the latter half of a plastic dinosaur, emerging from the plastic underbrush....

8  New take on the Initial necklace-- ASL in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by chica grande mas bonita on: April 10, 2008 07:14:06 AM
This is my new genius idea-- lots of initial necklaces out there, and I thought it would be amazingly great to make an initial necklace featuring an image of the  American Sign Language sign for your first initial. My name is Nicole, so the N pendant is the one I wear around. The imgaes of the signs are from an informational sheet that deaf/mute people sell to raise money-- I bought mine in San Francisco a couple of years ago. The sheet is highly photocopied, giving it a really noisy image-- which I love, and decided to keep for the most part.

9  New Custom molded resin earrings! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by chica grande mas bonita on: March 02, 2008 09:18:45 PM
I recently had an issue with someone copycatting my style .  In an effort to make myself unreplicate-able,  I have been making custom molds.  These two pairs are from vintage earrings I had. I had made these molds awhile ago, but as I can only make one offs, ie one at a time, I dont have too many made. But, now for your viewing pleasure.......

and then here is another shape I have been playing around with-- I didn't make this mold, but it definately wasnt intended for earrings. Very big. Very daring

and here is one of my new transparent looks....

10  Resin earrings, images I am finding to imbed..... in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by chica grande mas bonita on: February 20, 2008 10:57:58 AM
ammasmamma and I have both been playing around with transparencies and vellum. That is how I got the images in these earrings. I have been researching a lot of ephemera images, and it has been fun bitmapping, layering and messing around with them....
