1  Re: Show off your hair! And questions about hair styles! in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by kidkoala on: January 21, 2007 11:49:05 PM
Last week I found a tub of blue manic panic in my bathroom from when I had blue hair a few years back. There was only about a tablespoonsworth in there so I decided to dye just the "sideburns" of my hair. It didn't bleach well because red dye is so hard to get out, so I'm surprised the blue took as well as it did!

Whats really great is when my hair is down, you hardly notice the blue. So it's just a subtle change.

2  Re: Come one come all post your new tattoo IDEAS! in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by kidkoala on: December 27, 2006 05:38:57 PM
So in a few months I will finally be 18. My big idea was to get a Russian nesting doll (matryoshka) because I loved the one I used to have when I was little.
here is a picture of a common one:

It would probably make more sense if I was Russian, but I'm not. To personalize it as my own i was thinking of making a custom one. But I'm not sure what I could use. I know flowers are often in the dolls, but does anyone have other ideas I could incorporate into the doll's design?

ragdoll- red is a good color because even the box dyes at big supermarkets carry BRIGHT red. You won't have to bleach it first with this kind.

I've used most brands but right now loreal paris - intense copper red is my favorite.

4  Re: I, too, went as Bjork for halloween! in Halloween Costumes by kidkoala on: November 01, 2006 08:13:04 AM
That's so hilarious! Cheesy
Who won first place of the contest? I can't imagine many costumes being funnier than yours.

Good work, how long did it take you?

This kid one.
Which is lame cause he didn't even make his costume and I think he wore the same thing last year.

I have no clue how long it took me. I just worked on it on and off whenever I got new fabric.

Hey everyone. Here is another swan dress.
I won second place in the costume contest at my school! Yay.

I love floofy skirts.

Took some time, but it's totally one of those costumes I would re-use.  Smiley

8  Mod Dress, 2 PJ pants, and a Scarf. Whew. in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by kidkoala on: July 19, 2006 10:17:06 PM
Well I haven't posted anything I've made in ages, so I thought I'd share a little.

A houndstooth "mod" dress.

I got this fabric from an Ikea sheet/pillowcase that was in the "as is" section for 2$. Still haven't figured out what was wrong with it to make it "as is" but it made the hassle of going to Ikea worth it.

These were the first PJ pants I made with this cute fabric of space age radios. Love it.

Close up.

A sewn scarf I made... ya know... just in time for summer.  Roll Eyes

Hey guys, guess I'll make the first Katamari Swap gallery posting (my swap partner, crystalfairy, sent very early. Props to her!)

A Katamari painted wrist cuff!

Katamari ornament. This is SO going on my rearview mirror.

Katamari Zipper Pull

These adorable little Katamari bracelets with the prince.

And this little Prince! My sisters gonna be soooo jealous.

So thanks for everything, crystalfairy. You're a great swapper.
