2  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Yarn question on: February 01, 2007 09:55:15 AM
hi everyone,

i saw someone do this lovely horse bag on the "completed projects" board, and i'd just love to give it a try! http://www.crochetme.com/2005_Oct_Nov/pattern_tapestry_crochet_purse.htm

the problem is: it says to use dmc senso wool cotton thread, and i can't find that anywhere on UK websites.  Huh so does anyone know what type of yarn it is (i reckon it must be quite tough as it's a for a bag), and/or what the English equivalent would be?

thank you very much!  Smiley

5  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / simple pattern for absolute beginner? on: October 17, 2006 01:38:15 PM

i have only recently found out about amigurumi. i think these dolls are just adorable! now i really want to learn how to do them. having found this forums already helped me a lot  Grin especially the FAQs and the how to do it part! as i've never ever crocheted a thing in my life.
and that's where i'd need your help: all the free patterns i've seen so far look awfully complicated. isn't there anything simple, something that would give me some practice and still "look something"? i would so much love to start crocheting some amigurumi; i just can't find the right thing!
i would be ever so thankful for any tips or links  Smiley
