21  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Lub You Earflap Hat on: November 22, 2009 08:34:34 AM

He had planned to do it on my birthday as me and my whole family are going out for a meal, but he chickened out and asked me while I was in my dressing gown making a coffee  Cheesy very sweet, very us

Awww, that IS sweet. One of my best friends (who's vegas wedding I just got back from) was proposed to in her living room in sweats the day before Valentine's day.

Now I feel like a princess for wanting it to be over the top.
22  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Woodland whimsy coasters! on: November 22, 2009 08:23:20 AM
Oh I love this idea. I've been wanting a cute coaster set for my room and this is way better than sewing because I alreayd have all the stuff.

I never seem to have "cute" fabric, just fashion fabric.
23  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Raspberry White Chocolate Not-Really-Oreo Balls! on: November 22, 2009 08:12:37 AM
mmmmmm they look so yummy. I've been drooling over all the oreo truffles for probably over a year now but I've never made them.

I'm looking for ideas for my friends this year and especially my brother who's in the military he'll either be in Japan or in the middle of the ocean for Xmas so I need to start baking and sending now.

I think these would keep if I used one of those vaccum seal kits.
24  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Re: sweet pea shawl on: November 22, 2009 07:50:31 AM
I really like it. It's very femme and elegant.
25  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Re: Stripes and Pastel Flats :) on: November 22, 2009 07:46:09 AM
I imagine they were plain and awkward before with just stripes (well at least they would have been on my size 10 feet and I'm only 5'3, even more awkward!) But the buttons and crystals break them up just enough, now they're really cute!
26  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: pretty rings! & alice in wonderland necklaces* on: November 22, 2009 03:19:11 AM
Oh, I love the rings.... so much...
27  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: More spoons and resin on: November 22, 2009 03:07:03 AM
Oh wow. This is such a good idea. I'm partial to the soup spoons as well but the frog souvenir spoon is my favorite.

I also tried the resin thing once and I couldn't seem to get my mix right because after 3 or 4 days of drying they were still pretty sticky.
28  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Grate Cuff on: November 22, 2009 03:02:41 AM
That's pretty hot. It has such a vague resemblance to bondage but it reminds me of Abby from NCSI (that's a very good thing, BTW, she's my favortie). I'd be afraid to wear it though. I'm quite accident prone.
29  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: T-shirt to necklace recon on: November 22, 2009 03:00:56 AM
WOw, great idea!   ... I've never seen those before though. Where the heck have I been?!?!
30  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Mermaid crown update: I guess it wasn't so great afterall! LOL on: November 22, 2009 02:58:53 AM
The crown is SO cute. You've inspired me to make something similar with my daughter. She's been wanting to make a shell necklace. But this would hold MY interest a lot better Tongue Btw, i LOVE your eye makeup too.

SIDE NOTE: I've been MIA from craftster for a good 6 months unfortunately. I think it's the abundance of craft communities out there now. I don't have time for them all! But I keep forgetting this is what inspired me to beg for a sewing machine and relearn crochet 3 years ago.

Also. At any given time there are probably 4 or 5 times as many guests as there are users. So I encourage the lurkers to sign up! We want to read your opinions too!
