6  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Tips for Participating in Craft Fairs / Re: jewlery :) on: December 03, 2009 07:53:31 PM
Hi! I don't sell my crafts but this is what I've picked up on from people who do.

I'm not sure where you live but in Florida, where I am, especially Tampa. There's not a whole lot that goes on as far as craft shows, we only have 2 or 3 a year. Here and I believe most everywhere else though you can try selling your stuff at large farmer's markets.

You can go to http://www.eventlister.com/ or just google craft shows (insert city name here) that's what I did to see what was going on and they usually have info for interested vendors as well.

Also, it'll probably be easier to get advice from other sellers if you post on the Crafty Business Advice board

And there's also an Opportunities for Crafters board.

I hope this helps  Cheesy

8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: Looking for inspiration making jewelry from vintage rhinestone pieces on: November 30, 2009 08:44:48 PM
I know this is an old post but... I see a lot of great reconstructed pieces here on Craftster in the jewelry section. They've inspired me to start collecting broken vintage jewlery (even though I haven't made anything with it yet) so perhaps you'll find inpiration as well.
