I thought there would have been more interest for these, but since the counters aren't yet working again, I can't even tell if anyone is even looking at them!

Thanks to all of the new responses.

I know that my items tend to be more traditional, and probably are geared more towards persons closer to my own age.  I'm really not sure if I can change that.  I'm not really sure how to put a younger spin on my work...but I'll definitely be trying.  I know that my work is good quality....I'm a perfectionist by nature and have tried to reflect that in what I create, but maybe on-line things don't come across that way.

I'm going to keep trying, but honestly only for a few more months.  Any suggestions for items that might appeal to a younger crowd would definitely be welcomed....although I'm honestly not sure that is the only demographic that is shopping on Etsy...but it does seem to appear that way.

Thanks again, and best of luck to all of you that also have shops on Etsy.

That's great.

Congratulations!  You have beautiful items....I'm sure it's just the first of many more to come real soon.

bombgirl.....just wanted to let you know that you aren't alone in the perception my shop gives.  A couple folks where I work had the same opinion....only they called it "thrift store".....but pretty much the same thing.   I definitely will be rethinking what I offer for sale.  Thank you again, for your honest feedback....I really do appreciate it.

Supernova.....thank you very much for your opinion....and no offense taken.  I will keep looking for other communities....and maybe I'll ask my kids (who actually are a little older than you) what types of things, using my abilities, that I should focus on.  Or maybe, I'll just give up on Etsy altogether......really torn right now as to whether this will work out.

OK.  I hear what you're saying, however I'm not sure I understand.  I only have one crocheted centerpiece/large doily (not really a tablecloth) in my shop.  The rest of the items are generally all small, stocking-stuffer type items...some crocheted, and some other types of crafts.  Are you saying I should remove all of the items and concentrate more on creating more of the large doilies?  Sorry, but I guess I'm just not at all sure what to do to improve.

Thanks.  Etsy does not allow (or strongly suggests) you to have more than one shop.  There is going to be the ability to have categories within our shop (up to ten, that we define).  I think this will help alot.

I'm beginning to get a little frustrated with my Etsy shop.  I'm really beginning to question whether my items are good enough to sell.

I think they are, and I think the quality shows in my pictures, yet I'm having a very hard time selling very much.  I list (or renew) pretty regularly so I'm pretty sure my items generally stay in the first few pages of the categories.  I promote pretty regularly in the forums, yet I rarely get much notice.  And I also promote outside of Etsy itself too.

I have asked for shop critiques on a couple of occasions....and only the first time, did my request even get noticed.  Maybe it's a case of "if you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing at all"....so folks don't want to respond.  I also tried asking for mentoring help, and unfortunately the mentor I chose wrote back that they were too busy to help me.  It's so hard to find a mentor that has similar items that can honestly help.

So.....be honest.....are my items just crud?  Are my prices way out of whack?  I'm running a sale right now and still can't seem to sell anything.  I'm planning to use the upcoming Etsy down-time this weekend to re-evaluate what I should try and sell...and my shop set-up....so any input would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

Your pictures do look better.  Best of luck to you.  Do you visit the forums on Etsy and promote your shop there?  It will help your shop to get more exposure if you post over there too.
