41  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Re: Crafty Wedding Cupcake Table on: February 23, 2009 11:16:25 AM
Would love to see pictures.  Everything sounds wonderful.  I've been debating paper flowers for the centerpieces for my wedding in July but still not sure if I want to put that much work into it.  I've already made my invitations and am making our guest book which will be a scrapbook and everyone is to bring a picture of themselves to add to the book along with their well wishings, advice or whatever they want to say.  We are having pies instead of cake so I don't even need a cake topper or I'm sure I'd be figuring out how to do that myself as well.

OMG.....you have pugs! I love pugs.  I had two myself but had to leave them behind when I got divorced.  I miss them.  Your pages are great.

Everything is beautiful!  What luck to have the church already decorated.  Love the favors but just gotta know what pencils you used that you could knot yourself?

Did you buy a blank book or put one together yourself?  I'm trying to figure out what your pages are made from besides scrapbook paper?  Did you decorate card stock or something heavier?  Plus what size is this?  I'm going to be putting together a photo album for our guestbook and trying to get some ideas of how to put it together.  I really like yours and congrats!

The rocks are a great idea!  I want to know where you found the tiny picnic baskets.  Those would work great for my wedding in July of this year.

Forgot the other thing I would like to do that is different but is appropriate for a bbq is instead of a wedding cake I would like a bunch of different pies and to showcase them better they can be staggered in height by putting them on over turned terra cotta pots.

First off congrats on your wedding.  I just got engaged and we set our date for July 18, 2009.  We will be getting married in a refurbished barn and most likely will have bbq also.  I plan on used red checked table clothes (these come in other colors that would probably coordinate with your colors) to help with the whole bbq/picnic type of atmosphere with terra cotta potted flowers of different varieties tied with twine or raffia around the pots.  To class it up a bit I would like to get white lace paper placemats and will wrap the "plasticwear" in the napkin and tie with red gingham ribbon.  Again the ribbon could match your colors.  Very simple to do but fits with the whole bbq theme.  Have fun planning.  It will be great no matter what you decide because it's your day and in the end the most important thing is you are married to your man.

I love your dress!  It looks simple but yet elegant.  I'm getting married in July 09 in a refurbished barn so I need something simple.  What pattern did you use?

Great snowflakes.  You mom should love them.  I find it difficult to work with crochet thread with the sparkling piece running through it.  It wants to always twist up.

These are great!  I love the addition of the buttons.
