21  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Re: What fiddly little things you are... on: July 27, 2011 04:44:30 PM
Wow I love all these! That necklace is great and those bracelets are awesome.  I would love to know how you put together those bracelets.  Looks like lots and lots of jump rings with maybe a stretchy cord wove through them?

I love all your theme charm bracelets!  Where do you find all your charms?

My wedding is Saturday!!!  YEAH!!!  Here is a preview picture of me in my dress.  I'll post more as soon as I can afterwards to show some of the crafty goodness.

I would just do lots of searching online for some of this stuff.  When you say large pieces of chipboard what size are you looking for?  I got a whole bunch of 8 1/2 x 11 chipboard off Etsy and I have a lot leftover.  Used it to make my guestbook which is scrapbook pages and everyone is to bring a picture to include in the book.  I wanted the pages sturdy so glued my papers to the chipboard.  If I'm remembering right you could get as big as 12 x 12 on Etsy.  You might want to check it out.  Prices weren't that bad either.  If you need 8 1/2 x 11 I would gladly share some of what I have and send it to you.  Just let me know.

What a great idea!  They are really cute.  You have way more patience than I would.  I love to eat apples like this but don't like messing with making them myself.

I know this is an old post but I love the way you wrapped the ribbon around the stems of your bouquet.  My flowers are red and white and I was going to wrap them in a red ribbon but wasn't quite sure how to do the wrap.  How did you do yours?  Did you find instructions somewhere with different ways to wrap them?

I love all your flowers by the way.  They are beautiful and so elegant.

Well you definately need to use parachutes and planes.  The invitations could even be in the shape of a parachute if you really want to get crafty.  You should see if you could get little airplanes that open up and put candy in them for favors.  I've seen them before but couldn't tell you where.  Check Oriental Trading Post.  They always have some fun candy type things you can get for a really good price.

As far as the necklace with the ashes.  Well she could just wear the necklace for the ceremony.  Not sure if she would want to wear it for the jump but it would be kind of cool because in a way he would be jumping with her.  Another option is to tie the necklace into the bouquet or in the ribbon around it.  Just make sure she has a different bouquet to use for the bouquet toss.

That's all I can think of right now.  Have fun!  It's nice that they want to personalize their wedding.  My fiance and I are doing that also.  Makes it a lot more fun.  Good luck on the planning!

Arcadian that is really awful about your cake person cancelling on you.  If you have trouble finding someone else then make cupcakes!  They are really easy to do yourself and much easier to work with than a big cake.  You can frost them and even just put a flower on each or some fancy sprinkles for that matter.  Good luck and congrats!  I have to wait until July 18th for my day.

What a beautiful bag!  I love the colors and the size and well, just everything about it.  Excellent work!

I'm getting married in July and kind of have short hair myself.  I was told to fingerwave my hair and use jeweled bobby pins or something for an added touch.  Yours would also look nice with just one side tucked back with a flower that would coordinate with the rest of the flowers.  Simple can be just as elegant.
