1  With Gilded Legs of Gold....I can draft anything...Large Pictures Ahoy! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by omyluckystars03 on: November 12, 2006 05:46:21 PM
For Sculpture II, our teacher built us workstations which consist of some tall drafting tables and shelving. Our seating were very tall unconfortable stools, which I couldnt draw for long periods on...much too uncomfortable and to mention unstately....so I found a chair, ripped it apart, found new legs and fabric at a furniture factory wholesale store and went to town. Much of this was a learn as you go process...and of course comments and criticism appreciated!

On to the picutres..

2  Resistor Necklaci in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by omyluckystars03 on: May 19, 2006 02:47:03 PM
I found Subdefective's (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=94713.0) necklace last week and thought it would be a great fast project. Since I have made and worn the necklace several times, I have found that I have gotten very many compliments, and I thought it would be a great way to make a little extra money to sell these on Etsy. However I do not want to take subdefectives idea of chaining resistors without her permission. I think they stand on their own as separates, but I just want to be polite and make sure im not making anybody angry or stealing ideas. On to the pictures.

Any Suggestions on what I should do?

This is way late and I apologize for the lateness of it, but I do want to participate in the picture postage Smiley.

Abitlooney sent me 3 lovely gnomes, gnome stationary and a gnome mix cd. I enjoy all of it very much. Actually...I sent her the same gnome she sent me (Mr. Harold Blue Hat)! I love the gnome mix cd very much, but it seems my car cd player doesnt like the last half Sad. Anyways...on to the pictures.

Bluechip sent me a lovely bound cookbook and a few pieces of scrapbook paper Smiley. She even illustrated the individual recipe pages!!! I really like the fact that the cookbook is small and can fit into my purse on a trip to the grocery store. Thanks so much  Grin

5  Printmaking with lab objects?! in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by omyluckystars03 on: March 12, 2006 04:47:57 PM
For my first assignment in printmaking we had to print common found objects and arrange them into a pleasing composition. I used Daniel Smith Black and White, and Speedball colored inks. We had to do 3 impressions and this is the final and best one. Any comments or criticism is welcome.

6  Magic Lamp in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by omyluckystars03 on: March 12, 2006 04:43:31 PM
A few weeks ago I had to make a lamp in Sculpture that had an unusual element to it. I chose to make my lamp change when the light was on. When off it appeared to be a plain white paper shade, and when on revealed beautiful mauve japanese magnolias.

mildly blurry picture sorry Sad

Any comments are welcomed Smiley.

Tutorial...I've never done a tutorial before so it might be a bit confusing.

First of all I have to admit i have no idea how to wire a lamp, my professor did it, and most of the class' as well. This website posts how to rewire lamps, I'm sure its the same the first time Smiley. http://www.ehow.com/how_117605_fix-lamp.html I spraypainted my base right before wiring it so i wouldnt have to worry about taping up the wired elements. I used Rust-Oleum Unique Hammered Finish in 7218 Dark Bronze. But it looked dark grey instead of bronze. Another suggestion would be to cut slits in the in the top of the wooden cube so you could just slide the cardstock and the colored transparency in. Ohhhhh one major thing i forgot...How to attach the shade to the base...and what you do for that is...get a small piece  of wood the width of the bottom of the cube, and attach it with nails and drill a hole through the middle and attach it before you wire the lamp. Another piece of advice make your cube fairly big to cover the whole lighting figure and light bulb. Thats why mine has two tiers.

If you have any questions dont hesitate to ask.

I also recieved some pretty flower stickers and a modern violin cd, both i like very much. I couldnt take pictures of the stickers because ive used a bunch already making gifts for my friends Smiley.

9  MARDI GRAS...just another t.shirt recon in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by omyluckystars03 on: June 26, 2005 11:40:54 AM
I found this awesome XL NOLA shirt at a local thrift-shop around last Christmas. I finally got around to doing something with it. I found Tickleagangster's Ugly vacation tee tutorial here:http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=35987.0 and decided to use it on said t.shirt. Though much fighting with a 20 year old sewing machine I finished the shirt. Smiley. I think I need to take it up in the sides more...It makes me look like I have a Buddha belly. lol.

Comments and criticism are welcome...

10  It's like summer around my shoulders all year round! in Crochet: Completed Projects by omyluckystars03 on: June 26, 2005 11:27:45 AM
Yay, my first finished project besides headbands and flowers. Grin I found a lovely knitted caplet/shawl (http://www.theknittinggaarden.com/gallery-sept04/sept-free-3.htm) that i wanted to make into crochet. I posted here on how to change it from knit to crochet and the lovely Lothruin helped me transform it into a crocheted beauty. When i finished the pink part i found it was too short to go around my shoulders so i added the orange then the flowers to make it a little more bright and cheerful.
