1  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / White (fake) all stars to pimpin princess kicks on: May 04, 2007 02:08:09 AM
My 6 year old niece had these fake white all stars, and I thought I'd make them a little bit more girly. They're so bad, I love them!

2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / I wasn't planning on growing up anyways... (2 pairs of earrings + a bracelet) on: April 16, 2007 07:19:41 AM
I bought a box with rainbow colored beads for kids because I thought they were adorable (and they were really cheap too).

Altogether now, altogether now...

The bracelet

Heart earrings

And last but not least, umbrella earrings!

It wasn't a lot of crafting, but I love them (I think it's funny that they're actually fashionable)
3  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / I revamped old boring black ballet flats (polkadots, pink, bows and stars) on: March 26, 2007 01:48:58 PM
I was inspired by someone who redid her ballet flats and found a pair I had lying around (I can't seem to find the thread anymore).

This is the before picture

I took the soles off first

I used old stockings that were really easy to sew on

This is with the soles on, but you can't really see  Tongue

And this is them all finished!

Detail shot

They turned out better than I hoped they would, I just hope they won't fall apart on me...
4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / 50s wooden desk -> cutesy strawberry sewing desk (with picture heavy tutorial) on: March 26, 2007 09:32:32 AM

The tablecloth just asks for a close-up

I also did the insides of the drawers with panterprint sticky plastic, rawrr...

You'll need
- a desk
- awesome plastic tablecloth
- 2 pairs scissors (I used my fabric scissors for the plastic because there was cotton at the back and normal ones for the sticky tape, which is really really hard to cut and leaves glue on the scissors)
- double-sided tape

1.Put tape all around the edges of the top of the desk

2. Put the tablecloth on top (make sure it is on tight)

3. Put tape all around the sides too and fold it over underneath the sides.

4. Stick the tablecloth over the sides and underneath and then cut off the leftover pieces. So you get this:

5. Do the same thing with all the sides

This is what it eventually looks like:

And this is what your floor will look like:

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Cute black and pink JELLYFISH wallet on: March 15, 2007 01:22:42 PM
It failed miserably... I did a billion things wrong; it's crooked and it doesn't even close properly. But it's still sort of cute.

Oopsy daisy...
The materials are sort of recycled from some pouch I got for free with a magazine. I 'embrioded' the jellyfish with my sewing machine.
6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / cute red measuring tape bracelet with a bow and a star on: March 04, 2007 06:13:57 AM
I made this yesterday from my pile of random things to make something with.

So you can see the 'closing mechanism'.

On me
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / First project - From big MCR shirt to small MCR shirt on: December 22, 2006 10:26:03 AM
From this shirt I bought at their concert:

I kept the original length but fit the shirt to my body and I made the sleeves smaller and a tiny bit poofy but you can't see that on the pictures.

8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / First time knitting = amature scarf on: December 18, 2006 11:12:34 AM
I made lots of mistakes having no clue what I was doing and ended up with a crappy-knitted scarf that's about 3m. long and I love it.  Tongue

9  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Altered book (UPDATED + 9 pages=Pic heavy) on: October 24, 2006 09:46:50 AM
I just sort of used this book as a diary/notebook sort of thing in which I paste things I made (collages, drawings, painting, whatev). It's my first one ever, I saw it on craftster and loved the idea...

The outside

Here are the new ones:

10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Red headband with lace and bow on: October 20, 2006 08:35:27 AM
I don't know if this is the good category for this...
But I made this headband out of an ugly purple one I got for free with a magazine. Let me know what you think...
