1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Bird / Flower table thang! on: August 17, 2009 06:11:46 PM
My aunt turns 80 this month... had no idea what to get her. When I was on holiday in the French alps I saw this and thought, although not my usual style or taste, it was perfect for my aunt.

Many hours of stitching later, voila les resultats! Sent it to my mum in Ireland for washing and ironing! Not a gifted needleworker so go easy on me please!

2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Headband on: August 17, 2009 05:58:52 PM
I am getting back into knitting with a few quick fire projects. This headband knitted up in less that 24 hours, although I was watching Prison Break at the time which I found doubled my knitting speeds... I cocked it up but I dont think you can notice too much  Wink

Headband in Alaska by Drops is taken from the goldmine that is Ravelry http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/86-10-headband-in-alaska

5  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Curtain. Singular! on: May 08, 2009 04:21:41 AM
So.... I am not the world's greatest sewer... I have these awful 1980s heavy full length dining room curtains in by bedroom so I decided, without tutorials, advice or patterns, to just go for it! I found some really nice fabric on the market for 1 per meter and got some lining which was slightly more expensive...

Curtain. Singular! because I didnt have enough for two, but it does the job

Here is the result...

6  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Gecko pillowcase on: January 13, 2009 09:40:56 AM
Here is my 2nd project! Got a bit more adventurous with my stitches and even included some French knots on there (several bent needles later!).

I designed it myself, based on an Creole style wooden gecko that I bought at a market in Mauritius.

Sorry the picture is a bit naff - I took it with my phone.

Constructive feedback welcome!

7  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Duvet Bunny Pillowcase - 1st project! on: December 25, 2008 04:29:05 PM
I recently bought Jenny's Sublime Stitching book, as I have admired her patterns for a long time. I ripped out the 1st transfer page and practised my stitches, and next thing I was getting creative with my ideas. Here's the results...

8  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Dress design help on: May 13, 2008 12:03:49 PM
I have already made a lolita dress using the tute below.
Do you think it can be made in 2 pieces instead of 4? I am really pressed for tome and wont mind it not flaring out so much...

Sorry if its a dumb question but I am rather inexperienced....

Has anyone ever attempted to knit a carseat? My car is desperately seeking some TLC and my seats are getting holey! I have searched craftster but this does not seem to have been done before with yarn!
