1  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Re: My wet felted BAGS (new pic - page 5!!!) on: June 11, 2007 10:49:51 AM
I love, love, love your bags.  I really want to try this too!  ...Unfortunately I'm working full time, teaching 2x a week, and taking a class with a lab, so I don't have the time... Cry

Beautiful work, though.  Do you sell your bags?  If not, you should!
Thank You so much Smiley
You know, now I don't have time for this too... I'm working full time and studying at university. It is sad... Sad But I hope for some holiday so I could felt a bit again...

Thanks Smiley
My bags are all wet-felted. Only No. 2 flowers are needle-felted.
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Bags from Lithuania on: March 31, 2007 02:30:51 AM
Wow they are all really nice but that first one is so beautiful, I just love all the textures. That is crochet or it looks a little like burlap? It's just so nice with the wood and the feathers. Like a walk in the forest.
Thaks Smiley It is a burlap Wink

I really love your style, and I especially love the second bag. You said it is embroidery or crossstitched? And is the rest of the bag knitted?
Thank you Smiley
In the middle - it is crossstitched. And the rest is crochet.

Thanks for everyone! Smiley

These purses are great. Do you crochet the flower designs into the pattern then wash? Or do you wash then crochet the pattern over? Anyways, they're really cute.

Hi,
No crochet done in my purses. Everything is only felted Smiley

I ADORE the flower booties!

Do you use any thing on the bottoms of the booties to make them non-skid?  Would it be wrong to run lines of hot glue on the bottom for treads?  Should I sew a leather sole?  My daughter is 1.5 years and I don't want her to fall on slick floors.  Any suggestions?

Thank You Smiley
For non-slid bottoms I sew a leather sole. But I know, that other felt-makers use latex for that... http://www.kartehuset.com/show_image.aspx?id=183

Thank you all Smiley

Wow, I love the felt rings - how did you make those?

A while ago I tried to felt a glove, but the "fingers" turned out to be too short. So I cut them off, but didn't throw out Wink And now I used them Wink
