Genius! I am definitely going to make a set. I think it would be great in a box with the xkcd Photoshops comic on it. Cheesy

Get your wisting fingers ready because I received the most amazing swap package from Annchen! Cheesy

She crocheted me the most fabulous rainbow star blanket, inspired by the star baby blanket and various other blankets on my wist.

Close up to show her impeccable crocheting skills and the gorgeous colours she used to make the blanket.

Thank you so much, Annchen! Cheesy

Mmm, those look delicious! Cheesy

I don't have anything finished to show off this week but I have been playing with a new spindle and fibre from the fibreholics sample box that I received today which happens to match the spindle perfectly! Here is my WIP shot:

The fibre is 100% corriedale top. I am hoping to spin this together with some of the other, coordinating fibre samples I received and ply with some solid lilac or pale blue top. Might take me a while, though!

Annchen is having some problems posting her photos at the moment so here are the ones I took of her package before sending.

I made a bagsket that was on her wist for use as a knitting bag. I pieced coordinating purple fabrics together for the top and gave it a matching purple drawstring.

The lining matches one of the outside fabrics and has lots of pockets. They are different sizes to hold various knitting accoutrements including one that is the perfect size to hold a pen for marking patterns!

I saw these stitchmarkers on her wist and just had to make a set when I found an exact match for the beads! They have large clasps so they can be used for both crochet as well as small knitting on smaller needles.

Finally I included a pair of yarn ball earrings based on these ones by phoenixfiredesigns that she had wisted.

nikschaf: Yes, they're basically grab bags with lots of bits and bobs - ends of run on the blending machines, that sort of thing. Great value if you just want to try out bits of different fibres and don't mind about colours.

Mmm, I love the colours of your Peacock yarn! It's amazing how different a yarn can look when you put it into a skein, isn't it? I think it will look fantastic as a rapunzel scarf. Cheesy

I've been working on this one on and off for what feels like forever so I'm happy to finally be able to show it off! Cheesy

Three different shades of green fibre that I got in a botany lap waste bag from world of wool. I believe that they are all merino. It ended up as 73g and 119m, Navajo plied, approximately DK weight. The colour changes are abrupt as I just switched between the different colours as I was spinning so it should produce distinct stripes when knitted up. I spun it while I was away visiting family so I got to educate a few people about the joys of spinning! Wink

What squishy goodness does everyone else have to show off this week?
