11  Re: Peyote Ring in Beads: Completed Projects by vylentviolet on: November 19, 2006 10:36:48 AM
Making it ...unplain is really easy if ye have a plan. I just changed the colors and pattern of this image I found on a peyote instruction site...
to this...

It's really helpful to kinda sketch out the pattern beforehand.
Here's another one I made (and promptly lost in the hell hole that is my  bedroom, haha)

13  ...Just a bat shirt. in Stenciling: Completed Projects by vylentviolet on: November 08, 2006 05:48:37 PM
I bought some Halloween stencils at Michael's, and I really wanted to make a shirt with bats (I have a bat fixation Kiss). I wanted to make it look like they were flying up from the bottom so I decided it needed different sized bats. I used wax paper and eyeballed the shape of the stencil that I bought. Result:

There's one or 2 more small ones under my hand, btw.

You can only see part of it, but I also modified the neckline of the shirt since I look horrible in a high neck. I cut off the top, made it a v-neck, and stitched pink Xs to keep it from curling and also to look cute :]

14  Peyote Stitch Ring in Beads: Discussion and Questions by vylentviolet on: October 13, 2006 08:47:50 AM
Hi everyone! This is my first post ever.  Kiss

I've decided to get back into beading (haven't since I was probably 10) and I am getting possibly a bit too ambitious for my first project. I am trying to recreate a ring that I bought a few years ago (sorry for the blur):

I can't seem to find a pattern for a ring like this, or even good instructions for peyote stitch. I am specifically looking for a zigzag pattern but I want to alter it slightly.

Anybody have suggestions?
