i was knitting a pair of mittens for my boyfriends mother for christmas, the kind where there's a slit on the palm so you can pop your fingers out. i finished knitting both mittens over a week ago but only just got around to sewing them up. it was only when the very last end was tucked in that i realized i had made TWO RIGHT MITTENS, not a left and a right. so the left hand one would have the slit on the back of the hand, while the right one is fine. did i mention im meant to be giving her these tomorrow morning? i dont know whether to laugh or cry. i have wool and needles with me so i can unravel and reknit the left one, but holy crap, HOW DID I NOT NOTICE?
? even a day ealier would have been fine.
