1971  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: Ideas for displaying ATCs on: February 15, 2011 08:16:04 PM
What if the ATC's were the frame? Take a decent size piece of art, a photo, fabric, whatever-and cover the frame with ATC's, so the cards surround it. Could look nifty.
1972  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: A Green Idea Chain Game 2010 on: February 14, 2011 09:27:08 PM
Oh, gosh, tons of tutes on Craftster! I've seen ipod holders, glasses case, messenger bags and purses, skirts, and I forget what else.

What can I do with old solid color silk shirts? Don't fit, or a slight stain, or shoulder pads...not great as shirts, but pretty soft silk. I'd like to cut them up and do...something, but don't know what. It doesn't hurt to do that, since they were all of 2.50 at Goodwill! Heck, the ones that are good, I've found I can machine wash them instead of drycleaning. But anyways-ideas?
1973  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: 2011 DeStash-Along on: February 13, 2011 06:10:34 PM
My ufo is at least 25 years old, maybe 28? My grandma was a quilter, and I have the last quilt top she starter before her eyesight started failing. I have a stash of the fabric she used for blocks, too. I did some work on it, but it's been set aside in the closet for a while now. I need to start working on it again!
Sigh...craft room still a mess. Got as far as hanging a shoe organizer on the door to hold supplies. And sorted some things into bins. baby steps...
1974  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Mini Art Quilt Swap Round 4 on: February 13, 2011 05:52:19 PM
I wish I had the time and the skill to join this swap-but the galleries have really inspired me. I want to dig out my fabric and leather scraps and make a steampunk one for my room now!

Oh, very nifty! I've been wanting to try my hand at one of these myself. Time to dig into the fabric scraps!  Lucky sister indeed.
1976  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Re: Tinkerer's Frock Coat (steampunk) on: February 10, 2011 04:06:17 PM
I right away hit This Rocks-then remembered I got here from the featured projects page.  Smiley
Anyway, love it!

This is such a neat swap idea. I'm so in, when it happens.

Ooh....destashing and helping out a fellow craftster at the same time? Off to look at the previous rounds, to get an idea.
1979  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Another steampunk swap? on: February 08, 2011 07:08:52 PM
Very tempting! It depends how busy I am, but I'm definitely lurking at the very least.
