1  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Re: Learn to spin in 2010 on: January 16, 2010 08:43:12 AM
Ooh ooh, me! My friend got me a beginning spinning kit with a booklet, top-whorl spindle, and some roving for Christmas, and I've been too scared to start! She also bought me "Start Spinning" months ago. Oh mannnn!
2  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Hey there little red! on: November 07, 2009 01:04:03 PM
I love this. It's great to see a grown woman not wearing a ridiculously short "sexy" Red Riding Hood. (does anyone remember that she was a child? heh, sorry.)

Don't get me wrong, you look amazing, just saying is all...haha.

I love the shirt and the bloomers. And the cape is nicely done. Great job!
To be fair, the Grimms edited out much of the sex from their tales, particularly in later editions. Read Perrault's much earlier version ("Le Petit Chaperon Rouge") to see what a wicked little lady she was --she gets undressed and hops right into bed with the wolf!

That said, I like the bloomers and lack of butt-baring. Ooh, those stripes are so cute. :3
3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Dino Coloring Book Art on: August 23, 2009 05:52:33 PM
Like the others, my favorite is the stegawesomesaurus, though they're all pretty dang awesome. I also like the way you colored the backgrounds, as simple as that is.
4  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Something Special for my Boys..... IMG heavy! on: December 12, 2008 02:36:34 PM
I think the antennae are my favorite part. :3
5  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Medusa! on: November 11, 2008 12:54:28 PM
Wow! My friend just got dreadlocks and she went as Medusa, too. Hope she doesn't see this comment, but yours turned out better. :3
6  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / Re: Am I overreacting? (about a purse someone made for me) on: October 18, 2008 05:52:29 PM
And here is what you do next: give me that fucker's address so I can go break his knees and remove his organs. Wink

If I had the skill to do it, I would totally join the "send sapphire a NICE bag" movement. But I guess the sentiment will just have to be enough...for now.
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Tube sock tank tutorial! on: October 16, 2008 10:21:32 AM
My parents' terriers are SO getting lots of new sock-sweaters. ^^ Those stripes are really cute.
8  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Another Cat Jacket on: October 08, 2008 07:22:05 PM
So cute! I wish my cats would let me dress them up (not that they need any more insulation), but they won't even wear collars. That second picture is ridiculously cute. I hope she gets an entire winter wardrobe. Smiley
9  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Bridesmaids Quilts!! on: September 15, 2008 06:28:20 AM
Such a sweet gift! I can't believe you made 5 quilts among all the other wedding preparation --  that is amazing.

PS - Congratulations on your marriage!
10  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Jack Skellington dangly thingie on: September 12, 2008 07:28:47 AM
I dunno if the original you mentioned is the same one I have, but if it is (it looks a lot like your version), it is actually plastic painted silver, so you are not missing much. And the paint rubs off. So you are way better off with your adorable clay ones. They are even nicer. :3
