Since I have a newly reorganized sewing room, courtesy of my boyfriend and a trip to IKEA, I have been sewing like crazy. I made the 3 smaller clutches (4 1/2 x 9) the other day, and the larger (12 x 6) a little while ago. I just winged the small size, and it was super easy! I used snaps as closures on the small clutches, first with a snap setter, with poor results, then resorted to a hammer. I gave up on the bigger one, because of finicky fabric, and used black velcro. I would really suggest trying a bag like this, because they sew up fast, and are instant gratification. I made two for Halloween, and the other two for anytime bags.
I received from raeraethejetplane yesterday! I got some pretty cool stuff!
I think the envelope was pretty awesome:

Sorry for the fuzzy pictures! I didn't get the mail until late last night, so the lighting wasn't very good. I can't wait to use the fabric, it's actually quite long, it's folded in the picture. Unfortunately, the envelope arrived with postage due (95 cents) but I think it's because of the thickness. It felt like everything shifted to the middle, but that's okay!
So I have about 5-6 old albums, some in okay shape, some kinda falling apart at the spine. I need some ideas on what I can use them for, either a use for just the plastic sleeves, or all of the album. I really don't want to throw them away, but without a lot of TLC, they are pretty useless. Any ideas?
So I was here http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=22875.0 I was in "show images only" and then on page 5 of the images, when this thing popped up and requested a user name and password. I clicked cancel, and it turned into another one. Clicking the 'X' did not work either. The entire time, my browser flashed and I was unable to close out. I went back again after I reopened Firefox and it happened only on that page again. I don't know if it's my browser, or the actual page. Maybe something is weird with a picture on there?
Well, here's my hair. It's naturally medium brown, but it hardly stays that way. I managed to go 3 months without dying it, but I gave up. I dyed it dark brown, then bleached the bangs and used Manic Panic in Hot Hot Pink.
So I bought a Wards UHT J1276 a few years ago, and it didn't come with anything. I have found a place to buy a manual (sewusa), but I just wondered how to tell its age without it. My estimate is sometime before the 70s, based on the look of it. Is there somewhere online that could tell me a little more about it? I googled for hours and came up with nothing.
This is on my inner forearm. It's about 2 inches across and about 2 1/2 years old. I really like it because it's so simple and I love stars. I hope to get more someday... when I have more money. This one cost me way more than I think it should have, but I think it's just because of the actual shop's reputation. I think it looks nice, so if I go back there, I'll just have to fork over the dough. In the picture, the space in between the outside and inside star is actually blank. The picture makes it looks a little shaded. And it really is completely even! It's hard to take a picture of your own arm!
